One of the biggest announcements, if not THE biggest reveal of the Nintendo Spotlight event today was the return of Metroid. And not just any old Metroid game, no sir.



That's right, Metroid Prime 4 was revealed to the public. They just started development, so don't expect anything for a while. However, another Metroid game was also revealed today.



Metroid: Samus Returns was also revealed and seems to be almost finished with production, since it was shown at the Treehouse event. It is a remake of Metroid II that was released for the original Game Boy. Personally, I cannot WAIT for both of these games. I love Metroid, even though I suck at it. What are your thoughts on this?

I am stoked at a possible Metroid 4 for sure, but I can't help to think that Nintendo stole the idea of the Metroid II remake from the already released fan remake "Another Metroid 2 Remake," which they 'shut down'.

I loved the Nintendo E3 event. Between the Mario Odyssey gameplay they showed and the Metroid 2 news, I'm SUPER stoked. Glad that I have several games to look forward to for my 3DS.

Personally, I am more excited for Samus Returns, because I've always been more into the classic 2D style of gameplay, but Prime 4 does look awesome, too, and I think it's really cool that they decided to bring BOTH styles back.
