Well. I got confused there. The reason of why I thought you hosted them were because they were on your board. You know. Like you can see umm John's avatar and his layout. I thought they were hosted by you because he placed them on the board. My mistake. And to ansewer the second question. You know, avatar size is normally 60 60 if I'm not mistaken. Yet your board and a couple of others have been set to a bigger size... Like 400 640 or 200 340, ect. Same thing for the ranks I guess. Which is what I think is fat.

The size avatars are automatically resized too can be changed. Internet explorer isnt that bad if you take 5 minutes to set the security settings. ActiveX is a no no for me.

I use firefox because I like the organized method of using tabs instead of opening new windows.

No matter what I make the size of the avatars appear at, they still take the same amount of space and load at the same speed, their just being display bigger, that's all.
I personally like them being displayed at 100x100 pixels, 60x60 is way to small.
