Anyone thinking of getting Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite? I've been thinking about it myself, but not being a fan of the genre, I'm torn. I know the old MvC games were good, but I'm not sure how the gameplay has changed since then. And who knows? Maybe with the way the genre has evolved I'll end up loving it now.


When I saw that Megaman was in it, I had to mention it on Vizzed, given how beloved he seems to be on here, or maybe I'm just talking to the right (or wrong ) people. lol I had to let everyone know that he would be in it, just in case it had slipped under their radar.

So yeah, if you plan on getting the game, let me know. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it before I make a decision one way or the other, especially since I don't often pay more than $5 for a game, and this will easily be $60 for a while anyway. And I'll be honest... megaman made me want to get it. lol

I have played some of this versus games, and they can be a total success or a total failure. Personally, seeing how most of the fighting games haven't changed all that much over the years, I think it can be a success if it includes a big and varied character roster.

I own KOF XIV and it hasn't got that many differences in playing style compared to some KOF you can play here, I've played modern Tekken games and they only have amplified character movesets compared to the 90s, for what I've heard SFV should be similar to the many Street Fighter games in here... Following this trend, playing some of the older Marvel vs Capcom titles here could give you a hint on how will it play unless they mess up quite heavily.

Well actually there was one game that I played after combos started becoming a thing (I think), and it was Marvel Vs. Capcom. That was one of the only fighting games that I can say I loved. I liked one or two others that were older, but I loved that one. Hence why Infinite has my attention, aside from what I mentioned in the opening post.

I ended up picking this game up, and I've gotta say it's repetitive. The story would've work so much better as an animated, or even better yet, cinematic experience, since it was all there, just the routine fighting game experience didn't exactly cut it for me this time.
