I have an idea for the advanced layout creator. I think when a non trusted member asks a trusted member or higher to make them a layout and send it to them (not buy) that the non trusted user should be able to edit it without having to ask the person who originally made your layout and sent it to you. What do you guys think of this? This wouldn't work with any bought layout (even if it's one you requested be made) so that wouldn't be an issue. What spurred this on is that I have some things I want to add to my layout and don't want to bug the person who helped me implement it for me. I also think there should be a content tag that hides stuff from users to the point only you can see it with the tag being like this [only me]This would be visible to my eyes only as in other users cannot see the content inside this tag[/only me] Useful if you need to store some stuff you don't want other users to see just quite yet on your profile (such as layouts)

Hm... I think our current system of doing things is fine the way it is. It seems to me that the current system was set up with the security of Vizzed in mind, so if you want to be able to edit layouts yourself, just become a Trusted member. Being able to edit layouts is one of the perks of/incentives for becoming a Trusted Member, so I don't think we should change that. Besides, if you want a different layout, you could just go to buy another one in the Vizzed Layout Market.

You also have the option of offering people Viz and asking them to make a layout for you. I know some people take a lot of time to make certain layouts exactly how they want them, so it makes sense to me if they would like to protect their stuff somehow. It also makes sense to me if they decide to charge you some more Viz for making adjustments after they've sent you the layouts, since sometimes, those adjustments actually require more time and energy than the original layout.

As for non-trusted users being able to edit layouts without having to ask the person who originally made the layout, I don't think that should be implemented because sometimes, people don't like seeing their names plastered all over other people's adjustments, especially if the adjustments make the layout look nothing like the layout that they had originally created.

As for content tags that only you can see, that seems to be kind of pointless. oO;; Please continue to store anything that you would like for only you to see on your own computer. Vizzed is supposed to be more or less a community so making a tag that doesn't allow anyone except you to see something doesn't seem to make much sense. ^^0;;

In conclusion, I don't think any of the ideas you mentioned will work very well...

I have to agree with Yuna here on this. If you want to edit an advanced layout, it's better if you either become Trusted or pay someone with Viz to do it with you.

And the suggested [onlyme] thing? First, that kind of thing wouldn't be only you being able to see it. Potentially Admins as well. And besides, it'd be possibly a pain to code into the board as well.
