I'm pretty sure that's something only the Admins+ can do.

As far as I'm aware green is just another shade for male usernames which I recall at some point hearing depends on your age and time on the site. Grey is the color for not specified/non applicable etc. The only way to my knowledge that you could have a green username and not have it set as male is if it's a custom one.
