Are there any fans of Rick and Morty out there? It's been almost a year and a half since the season 2 finale of he show, and this morning, people still had no idea when season 3 was going to begin.

About an hour and a half ago I turn on the TV to see that the 4th episode of season 2 is on. I click on it to see that it's in fact the season 3 premiere, which was completely unannounced.

Not just that, but during the episode, they also announced that they'll be airing season 2 of Attack on Titan on April 29th, which had its original release today.

zanderlex : Ha, that's crazy. Too bad I had to work the night shift this weekend I would've loved to see that, lol. I think Samurai Jack was suppose to air around that time but I guess it got bumped..

Yeah, I saw that coming. I remember thinking there was no way in hell that AoT season 2 was releasing on April Fools Day. And with only 12 episodes? Please, enough with the jokes already it's getting old Still glad to know that the release is finally coming up soon.

Kruzer : I guess since they didn't announce the premiere, they wanted to make sure that everyone saw it, so they kept repeating the new episode from 8 until midnight. As a result, EVERY show got cancelled, Samurai Jack, Dragonball, Family Guy, etc.

I was really wanting the new Samurai Jack but I guess this was good too.

lol Aww, too bad I didn't get to see that. XD Anyways, are you going to be watching Attack on Titan Season 2?

One of the staff on twitter replied to a guy asking about the show was airing "what if I waved a magical wand and the show was airing tonight". That is how I learned about it and saw the season 3 premiere.

The one actually good april fools joke I have seen this year, really good way to capitalize on people's expectations. I didn't even realize any of this until today though so unfortunately I haven't seen it yet.

Zlinqx : Wanna know a secret? There's a huge rumor going around that the episode in fact was a April Fools joke (Because of how "Bad" the ending is") and that when the rest of season 3 airs, there might be a totally different premiere.

I doubt they would go through the trouble of making a full length episode just as an april fools joke so I'm thinking it probably is the season premier. However stranger things have happened I guess.

I have to agree with Zlinqx. This was the only good joke ( and only good thing in general, in my opinion ) to come from April Fools Day this year. I'm super hyped for when the rest of season 3 will air, since Rick and Morty is by far my favorite show that Adult Swim is currently airing. It did suck a little that Samurai Jack got bumped, but they definitely made it worth the wait. 

I can't imagine the entire episode itself as an April Fools joke though. Regardless of the "bad" ending, that rant by Rick suits his character so well I want to believe it is the genuine premiere lol. "I want that sauce Morty! It's the reason for all of this! 9 seasons Morty!! That will be the whole arc of this series!!" hahaha. 

And as for AoT season 2, I'm pumped for that also. I'll probably just watch the sub ( I'm not a big fan of the English voice cast to be honest ) but it's still nice to finally hear some news about it. For those who haven't seen it, Team FourStar did an Abridged episode of Attack on Titan, and it is in my top 3 of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life lol. Definitely check that out if you haven't already XD

Yuna1000 : All over, different website articles, tweets, posts, etc. I thought of it myself even and wondered if anyone else thought of it, since the show makes it look like it's a fake episode.

Oh… Since you said "secret," I thought you had talked to someone who knew more or found a more credible source for your info. XD I guess we'll just have to wait and see then…

That doesn't sound like a prank, that sounds like my prayers answered. I had no idea that this is when Rick and Morty Season 3 started, I just knew it did. Not to mention AoT Season 2, as the first season was absolutely phenomenal.

I literally laughed out loud once I saw this, great work Adult Swim! Now people have to be extra careful to check the programme when watching!

I find this oddly surprising but all in good nature at the same time. I guess most peeps just clicked off once they saw it. 

realplayer109 : From what I heard, it went on for 4 hours, they just aired the episode 8 times over and over without changing the name from the scheduled episode lol.


Now that the season is over, I wonder if they will do something similar for when season 4 begins, but I doubt it would even be ready in time for next April Fools.

I can't wait for season 4. I agree with zanderlex, I also doubt that it would be ready in time for April.
