Well, what I look for in a girl is a good, cheerful personality, a good sense of humor because I like to tease and joke around a lot, and she has to share my Christian faith. It's also cool if she's pretty and enjoys stuff like video games and all, but that's just the icing on the cake. I've actually already found a girl like that, and it's obvious she likes me, but we haven't really, well, said anything about it. Somehow, she's taken me to a youth thing with her church, and I've taken her to a Christmas party and a movie, and we still aren't really in a relationship.

Call me shoveness, but want a girl who let's me be her hero. I'm very emotionally stable, so I'm fine if she isn't as much (but not a reck). I would like her to make me feel needed, and I will make her feel cherished and respected. She must treat me as a man, not a boy.

You guys have good parents. Try not to get to emotional this yearly though. If you guys have to wait a few years, getting romantically close at this point could (not always) lower the chance of you guys feeling the same when you're older.

dating during middle and high school is pretty pointless anyway. it's extremely rare to get out of high school and still be friends or dating.

I'm friends with 3 people that I knew in high school.... not including facebook friends. Those people change and move away and move on with life.... it's really not a big deal what happen in high school.

Sure, go on dates and get to know girls (or guys) and learn what you like and dislike.... but don't waste time getting too exclusive. More often than not it's not worth the trouble that you'll run into

I see... not like I care. Wasn't planning on really dating yet anyway. But something seems different about my friends... it must be something to do with our lifestyles. Being homeschooled, we are around each other a lot through different stuff with our homeschool groups. Being around these people so much... it just feels as if, even if we move across the country... we'll always be friends. It's a really cool feeling to have. I still keep in touch (some) with my friends that moved to Hawaii. I guess, being homeschooled, the friends you make are bound to be closer, as there are a lot less people to choose from.

Whether homeschooling is better or not is a matter of controversy. Some say it's better to expose kids to school for social reasons. Some feel school has less focused education and full of girls and drugs. I'm a big fan of homeschooling, though I wasn't myself. And a lot of teachers I know homeschool their kids... they know the education system better than most, so that tells you something.

I can see how you're very close to your friends if you've always been around the same small group. Still though, the closer you emotionally get at this age, the more chances you guys will be just friends when you grow up. But not always.

How about age guys/girls? I like girls a little younger than me. I hate annoyingly immature girls or pedo-young, but you know 2 years or so. (I'm 21... so 20, oops 19)
