Most of us older gamers were probably big fans of Goldeneye for the N64. Most of us who were fans of Goldeneye probably were also fans of Perfect Dark.

For those who don't know, Perfect Dark was sorta an unofficial Sequel to Goldeneye, had the same engine, made by the same people (Rare) and had some of the same levels, weapons and characters from Goldeneye. Perfect Dark basically took what Goldeneye had but made it better by adding bots, making a co-op story mode, adding more (and in some cases, better) levels, etc. Lets keep in mind that Goldeneye was probably on the top 5 greatest games for the N64 so that gives you an idea as to how great Perfect Dark was than.

Later this Month, 3/17/2010, an upgraded/enhanced port of Perfect Dark will be available for the XBox 360 Arcade. New features will include better graphics and resolution, new features and online co-op! (and up to 8 players!!!).

For any retro gamer like myself, this is incredible news and I definitely look forward to getting this when it comes out and I'm hoping that some of you who have an Xbox 360 will also get it so that we can get a few of us to play it online together.

While Perfect Dark is an amazing game, I really hate what they did for it on the N64. They made you buy a memory pak so you could get more levels in the game. So it was like Nintendo telling you to shill out more money.

What really made me excited about the game is how a few of Goldeneye's multiplayer stages will be in it.

So is it really that good? I watched a gameplay comparision of the N64 version and XBLA version and must say, the XBLA version looked a LOT more fun. Probably because of the higher resolution, second analog stick, etc..

Since you didn't grow up playing Perfect Dark or Goldeneye, you may not like it as much but for anyone who did, this is a must have. The first hour of playing it, I was just flooded with memories and it just put me in an overall really good mood. There's also the co-op campaign that me and a friend of mine loved playing years ago and it's probably just as good to todays standards.

Not sure if the demo has online or not but I'd suggest you get the demo and try it out and if you did like it enough, I could possible find a task around the board for you to earn $10.

Now I wish I had a 360 Guess I'll just have to settle with the original for now.

I grew up playing Goldeneye. Some of my earliest and best memories are of me an' my bro playing it. If you could find me a job for $10, I'd take it up for sure.

is perfect dark good? i loved golden eye but i haven't really heard of perfect dark

Perfect Dark is awesome. Like I said, it's basically the unofficial sequel and took what Goldeneye had and made it so much better.
