If you've ever drawn a picture or had to do something for art class, chances are, you have colored your work at one time or another. There are a few popular options to do this such as crayons,markers, and colored pencils, but also some not so well known ones like oil pastels. I personally don't like using marker unless I have to because it bleeds through paper pretty bad and looks kinda messy anyways. Crayons are ok I guess, but not my favorite. Color pencils are really good in general but the only downside is that you have to keep sharpening it and it easily starts hurting your fingers. Oil pastels are my favorite because they give a clean look and it's very smooth when you are using it. The only downside is they are harder to come by than the ones I mentioned above and more expensive as well. (Only used these in art class before)

I don't do art class because I've never heard anyone actually enjoying it and I hate coloring.

But if my favorite thing to color with is things not meant to be coloring utensil, because using random object 'A' to color on object 'B' is generally funny to me.

In all seriousness, I would use crayon. Even though I don't draw or color, I've always loved crayon drawings. If you gives crayons to someone who's a really good artist, you get quality are that still has that little kid look about it. Just a really interesting art style.

colored pencils master race

crayons are gross and smell weird and leave weird textures if you don't color it right
markers run out of ink and yellow markers are basically invisible. they are also very messy
ink is very messy and isn't even made for coloring
oil pastels are awesome imo but you can't color lightly with them, so if you need to shade something and then write a label in, you can't do it

colored pencils never run out because you can just sharpen them
