There are lots of wonderful sounds in life that are just enticing, such as a feline's gentle purring, train whistles, mouse clicking, the sound of a golf ball falling in it's hole, and more! It really just makes me feel so wonderful. What sounds do you find wonderful and why? Thanks for your participation.

A good dubstep wobble/growl sounds, my goodness it feels good when i hear em. Like, spending hours on sound designing in front of your pc and getting THAT sound as your finished product really feels good and rewarding to me

When I think of isolated sounds I enjoy, one that often comes to mind is the sound cicadas make. A few of my friends find them annoying in the summer, but I find the high pitched buzz soothing. It's definitely one of my favourite sounds, but as you said there's so many I can't say it's my absolute favourite!

My favorite sound? That squeaky sound it makes when two pickles rub against each other.

This is probably the easiest question I have ever had to answer, my favorite sound is this.

Any single, isolated sound, in repetition or excess can be annoying, but collectively, I think my favorite sound is probably nature. Birds singing in the trees with the breeze rustling the leaves, crickets and frogs at night, heavy rain with thunder and lightning, distant coyotes yipping and howling, etc. It'll probably sound sappy, but it's a little like listening to the original composition, Gods symphony, with each season being it's own movement.

Mine is the sound of a slot machine being hit for a big win. Or the old sounds of coins hitting the hopper.

My two competing favorite sounds are so far apart, it's silly.

I love the sound of a helicopter's rotor blades slicing through the air. That heavy thrum of the engine, paired with the thwop-thwop-thwop-thwop brings back so many memories of when I was in the Marines, I can hear it and go back fifteen years ago in an instant. I love it. It's so cool to think humankind invented something that defies gravity with such ease.

The other sound is crowd-roar. I love sporting events, I'm an athlete, and in the opening moments of a big game or the closing moments of a big win, the sound of that crowd, be it 20,000 chanting a name or 85,000 screaming their guts out, always makes my body dump adrenaline into my system. It's so neat to think a collective group of random strangers, bigger than most towns in the United States, are together, sharing an experience, and finding happiness. Sure, sports aren't as important as other things in the world, but in those instances, that experience of being friends with everyone around you for wearing the same shirt... it's awesome. It's human happiness at one of it's purest moments.

I'd probably have to go with the sound of a train. I'm not even sure why really, whenever I see a train pass by or I'm on one, the sounds always seem to just calm me down.

I like the sound of silence, or maybe the sound of the early morning. The sound of late at night where it's a bit quiet is nice. Where I live, the freeway isn't too far, so a nice summer night, and hearing the faint sounds of the freeway in the distance is kinda nice. I also like the sound of a badass muscle car revving up that beast of a motor lol.

My favorite sound is thunder. As Eddie Rabbit sung I love a rainy night, I love to watch the lightning and hear the thunder. That has been my favorite sound since I was 3 years old. I get excited each time I hear thunder.

The sound when you're popping bubble wrap lol. It's not too mature but I always pop bubble wrap whenever I see it. And I'm sure plenty of others are guilty of this as well
