I have had internet now for about 6 years which probably is not very long considering how long the internet has been around however it took me awhile to go online because in the beginning I was not to sure how it was going to be until I started to get the hang of it and realize that it,s something I should have had a lot sooner,one of the first websites I went to was msn I always went there just to read the news until I discovered the games that they have and started to play some of them with the first one being mahjong dimensions which is like mahjong but instead of using tiles they use small cubes that are all put together just like a rubik,s cube then I also  started to play bejeweled 3 until one day I wanted to find a website where I could play nintendo,game gear and atari games but at the time I did not know about Viz so instead I was going to 3 different websites the 80,s for nintendo atari 2600 website for atari and master games for game gear but I had to stop going to master games after my computer picked up a virus from their website finally one day I came across Viz and started coming on as a guest playing up to 5 games a day which I believe is the maximum amount a guest is allowed to play but there were a few times when I would end up losing one of my free plays due to a game not loading properly which might have had something to do with either the rom being broken or something wrong with my computer at the time then I opened an account on Viz so I could have unlimited game plays which is something I am very glad I did since it,s nice to not only go to 1 website for video games but also to know that Viz is not only about video games but is made up of a great community of people which is to me is something that no other website has.my question is when you first went online what was the first website you went to?

I would have to say youtube first and facebook second I think? I'm pretty much sure that's how it went for what was my first website I went too. For facebook I played some games there that attracted me. Those games I played were really fun sadly some had to be taken off for I dunno what reason, but I do know it was stupid. Anyways facebook games hasn't been the same since then for me that is.

I was about 10 or 11 years old, and I went on some chat site online.

The first forum I posted on was myjellybean, but it closed down years ago.

It was back in 2009, and the first site I visited was YouTube back in it's Notepad and Dreamscape tutorial says......such good times.

It's been a long time so I'm not exactly sure. I know I was dabbling in games that were hosted in BBS terminals in my early days going online, but these weren't really the "internet" since you dialed directly into that terminal.

I would have to say that the first real WEBSITES I went to were AOL or something on Prodigy in the mid 1990s

I first went online when I was a toddler XD My parents had me play educational games online, which I did for years. I don't remember which website it was though.

Not counting that, the first website I went on (that I actually remember) was 1980 games. My dad got me interested in Pac-Man so I started playing it on that site as well as other games on the NES. Later on I discovered much better websites to play retro games on, such as finally finding vizzed in 2009.

It was the early 90s, I was 6 or 7 years old, and I went to mlb.com to look at baseball stuff. That was the first thing on my mind at that age.

When I went online for the first time, I already knew what I wanted to do and what my plan was, so the first place that I went to was Yahoo so that I could make an email. Ended up having to change my email like 8 times with Yahoo.

Man, that IS a long time ago... I guess it was Yahoo, the best search engine of the time. And it was to look for... something that can't be said on a family-friendly website But don't worry, it was legal in the end.

I don't remember anything in particular that well. When I was little the most I did on the computer were offline games. If I had to guess it would be either Google or Yahoo since they tend to be homepages for a lot of people.

I went to hotmail because it was for a class. We had to set up an email account (this was 20 years ago) for a class and that's where we were directed.

I have no idea what I did after that since the internet back then was quite different

The first web site I ever visited was Cartoon Network's site back when I was like 9 or 10. 

My family had just gotten "high speed" Internet ( by the year 2000's standards lol ), and my dad was showing it to me and my sisters. One of the things he did was show how well their flash / browser games would run, so I ended up spending a lot of time on their site playing all the Dexter's Laboratory / Ed, Edd, 'n Eddy / etc games. Man, those were good times lol. 

I don't really remember very well, although I remember browsing a cartoon-related website when I was very young and playing a lot of flash games that miraculously didn't destroy the family computer. I also remember looking at some websites that let you play old Nintendo games in your browser long before HTML5 was a thing...only thing is, they would cause the family computer to bluescreen every time I tried to close the browser after visiting them. Stuff like that really makes me appreciate this site for what it is - not only does it have a great community, but it's probably the safest place to play old video games in your browser.

First site I went on was the BBC website when I was 3 years old in 2001. It was the early years BBC site I was on called Cbeebies which is also a TV channel that is for babies up to nursery/kindergarten age. It had a ton on flash games which I played a lot back then. (there is also CBBC which is for children aged around 6-12 range)

Hm... It's kind of hard to remember exactly what website I first went to, but I think it might've been a search engine or an educational website. lol I think I was trying to do research for a book report (or at least a school project), and the sources were very limited at the time. rofl

I think the first site I ever went to, on the internet was this place called Addicting Games.

I wasn't into computers or any of that until I hit middle school, and didn't have access to the web until then. I was naturally drawn to games (makes sense, since I'm, you know, here!), and Addicting Games, at the time, had the best collection of flash games on the internet.

I haven't been there in a long time. I don't even know why. I just stopped going one day.

Vizzed wasn't even technically my first forum. It's the first forum I posted on, but Gaia Online was the place I existed on first (though not as my current username).

The first site i went in was facebook, yeah, so mediocre... my aunt was teaching me about how to use a laptop (i was 8 back in the day and i rarely touch the electronics stuff) and she decided to make a facebook acount, which i only use to play games cause i think posting stuff was useless back in the day, so yeah, thats that

Interesting question. Kind of a toughy for me because the I believe the first time I went on line was back in 1995. This was years before Youtube, or Facebook and anything else. Back then, a popular thing was chat rooms. There were tons of them, as many as there are sites about games now. The one I went to was Z.com, which eventually changed to Q.com. Met a pretty girl there and we exchanged pictures via mail at one point. Postal mail, not email. Old stuff. Would do again.

Speaking of which, Z.com is when I came up with the screen name I have now, as they were often called. But, back then it was just "cyro". I didn't add "Xero" until 5 or 6 years later. So I possibly have the oldest username here clocking in at 22 years.
