If you didn't know, a pokemon has like a one in 4096 chance of being shiny. The only difference between them and normal pokemon is their different color pattern.

Some shinies, like Weavile, look way worse than the original design.

Some, like Gengar, look exactly the same.


And then there are some that are just fantastic.

What is your favorite one? Mine is a tie between Umbreon and Cresselia :3

My favorite shiny is Araquaqnid. It's one of the few Pokemon I'd say looks better in it's shiny form than it's normal form. The purple legs look better on a spider than green.

I caught one while S.O.S chaining after I beat the Pokemon League, and I've had on my team ever since. I was lucky enough to get it with the water bubble ability and a quiet nature. While it would've been better to have it either be relaxed or sassy, the quiet nature still works pretty well, since scald is more powerful than it would normally be.
