So, January is upon us, and the football transfer window is open for business, and the rumors are already out there, its exciting i know. So in this thread im gonna ask you guys about who's your favorite football (soccer) team, and who'd you hope to be transferred to your team this January, and discuss about it.
Me, ima huge huge Borussia Dortmund fan and in the other league, im supporting Atletico Madrid for the La Liga and Stoke City for EPL.

So, for Bor.Dortmund, i think the team is still lacking in the defense department due to the low amount of clean sheet. I think the cause of this is Bartra who's not good enough compared to the last season captain, Mats Hummels, and i think the amount of goal conceded from the crossing is kinda high that im thinking to replace both Shmelzer and Piszczek for the full back department.
Now, for the Center Back position, i think Bartra needs a contender to fight for the position (with the current Bor. Dortmund formation with 2 Center Backs, Sokratis has been solid and have Neven Subotic as replacement, for Bartra in the other hand, he only have Ginter for replacement, which is better at Center Defensive Midfielder position, and Mikel Merino who didn't play that much this season) so im hoping that Dortmund will bring a CB that's not a big man (like hummels and bartra type of player), but can win aerial duel. The man thats on my mind is Virgil Van Dijk, but considering he's a target for Man. City, its not going to be easy for Dortmund. He's 6 ft. 4 which is pretty tall, but he can helps a lot in the aerial duel considering Sokratis is just 6 ft. 1. The other possible player to get is Raphael Varane. He's off form currently, and i think its because of the minimum playtime he gets in Real Madrid. I think he'll do great in dortmund considering that he was a hyped talent back in the old days.
Now, for the Full Back, in the Right, we have Lukasz Piszczek and Eric Durm, in Left we have Marcel Schmelzer and Raphael Guerreiro. The full back is kinda set at this point but Piszczek and Schmelzer hasn't been that good at preventing the crosses. So me personally, I'll just replace Schmelzer cause he's kinda an attacking full back, which is good, but he overlaps to much considering he has Reus (who's a superstar Left Midfielder) in front of him, he didn't really need to attack that much, so the player in my head is Sead Kolasinac from Schalke. He's been pretty good this season, has a pretty good attack rate and pretty good at his hard tackling playing style, so, i assume he can cover the crosses, but considering he's a player from a rival club, its not going to be an easy deal.

We did sign a class player in Bailly in the summer but our defence is still lacking in my opinion, and january is the perfect time to change that.

Lindelof (a swedish defender that plays for benfica) is all but confirmed. I'll be honest and say that i really don't know much about him, but I trust Jose.
I don't think that's enough, though. We have been absolutely awful on crosses, even worse than dortmund. I really like Manolas, but i don't think that's gonna happen.

imamonster : yeah, i watch man united a bit and feels like pogba, ibra, and lingard are kinda carrying the team, not too much, but those 3 are definitely the core of the team at the moment. Miki is getting good so imo, there's no need for a new winger unless Depay is getting sold, then they need a new backup. Defensive wise, i think, or i hope, Lindeloff can get the job done. I mean he's still young, but he just popped up this season so i hope he's being consistent for the next season. And im also not sure with the fullback (its shaw and darmian right) i think MU can get a better player than Darmian, shaw is still young and he's decent if i say so myself.

And AZ, i know em dude, i play a lot of fifa career mode so i know a little bit of everything lol.

We dont have a main left back at the moment, I guess Daley Blind is. Shaw is on the bench, mourinho hasnt been very fond of his performances.
I think Blind is doing really well at left back, and at right back we have the imo best fullback in the league, Antonio Valencia, killing it.

Central defence is where we need to improve. Idk if lindeloff is the best for that. We will see, though.
And, cool. AZ are a pretty big team inside holland but outside not many people seem to know em even though they've consistently been in the top 4

imamonster : oh yeah valencia, i forgot about the guy. He's a solid RB, but the thing with him is he's old, and Darmian is 'not young' too, and he's not so poppin this season, so i think a new young RB could help the team in the long run. There's not much young RB poppin this season, but we'll see whats up in January i guess. And in CB, there's some name in my head that possibly could be better that Lindelof. Like, Virgil Van Dijk is on form this season and MU was rumored to get him. And, since Bailly is young, and MU got a lotta money, ima say a defender like Bonucci or Chiellini could be a great addition to the team.

Arsenal? Well, first of all, it's obvious we need a suitable backup for Bellerin. Debuchy is injured all the time, and Jenkinson is simply not good enough. Gabriel is also out injured often and we need Mustafi in the center back position more crucially. That leaves us with a need for new transfers. I haven't heard of any reliable, decent rumors other than Jose Gaya, a Valencia left back. I don't know much about him, honestly, but if we do manage to nab him I hope we deploy him as a RB rather than a backup for Bellerin.

goodboy : yeah, Arsenal and their injury problems are real. But in the CB, i think the situation is still stable considering you have Koscielny and MERTESAKAA (im sorry.) And in the RB, yeah they need a new transfer, but Gaya? He's an amazing talent and he probably gonna take the starting position from Kierran Gibbs right? Idk.
But the latest rumour about arsenal is Julian Draxler, man oh man if he joins the arsenal winger department is going to be packed with stars.

Welp, a new big rumor popped up recently. It was that Manchester United is interested in signing Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid. If you're a true football fan, you'll know what's up with Griezmann, he's a world class striker with an amazing finishing ability. The rumor said that the most expensive player in the world Paul Pogba was telling Griezmann to join the club. As you know, Pogba and Griezmann are teamates in the France national team, and if Griezmann joins, the Man United chemistry is gonna be better than now.
Now of course, Atletico ain't gonna stand still doing nothing meanwhile their star player are targeted by a rich club like United. And who are they targeting if Griezmann actually leaving? Its the one and only Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal. The rumor said that Alexis is yet to sign a new contract with Arsenal and clubs like PSG, Chelsea, and Juventus are also targeting him, so that'll be a competition and a half for Atletico Madrid. Now, if all of this deal is happening in the summer transfer window, the football world is gonna be shocked, like there are two stars switching club and who know who Arsenal will be targeting if Alexis actually leaving.
