It's Christmas time! So besides being so hyped about the season in general, I'm also excited about the actual day and the gift exchanging. I, as I'm sure everyone else has, have always enjoyed getting gifts since I was a child, but as of the past few years I've actually been able to give gifts as well which is actually as much fun as opening them myself.

So I bought some gifts for my parents and my two nephews once again, and I'm really looking forward to seeing them (my parents) open their gifts. I'm only concerned as to whether or not they'll fit since most of them are clothes this year instead of the PC games I got them last year.

And yes I'm also excited about opening mine. I know what one of them is because mom spilled the beans as she was afraid I couldn't use it, but it turns out I can. Also really expecting a PS3 this year due to some things I've observed from them so far (not the least of which being my mom looking up PS3 games online lol).

That said, I thought I'd ask you fine people two questions:
1. What are some things you're hoping to get for Christmas (and do you think you will)?
2. What are some gifts that you've bought for others this year?

*looks at the last sentences* But... i thought "giving"... Never mind.

I hope i receive... Actually, i'll let my parents surprise me, as we don't give present on Christmas in the Netherlands. And as for giving something myself... I got a massive gift for the Vizzed community. It's a sort of advent calendar... except that it didn't start from the 1st of this month. Let's say i chose a geniusly generated week for it. :3

Though it's the 9th freaking day of December 2016, i'll say Christmas is approaching fast.

And what if we on Vizzed are kind to each other and give gifts on Christmas?...

yoshirulez! : At first I read that and chuckled, then immediately after finishing I read it again and took a slight amount of offense to it. Then I realized I have no idea whether you were being silly or passive aggressive.

So I'll see your post and raise you a like and a "Be more clear next time".

MarioLucarioFan64 : Really? I'm starting to really wonder if I should have made this thread now. lol

As for the Vizzed gift giving idea...I really like that! I'm almost inclined to make that a thing here, but given how wonderfully this thread is taking off methinks I'll pass and settle for just thinking how cool it could be. :V

I'm not very excited for Christmas, really. The main reason is because our family has grown somewhat distant, with incidents here and there that can make the traditional meetings a thing of the past. The only thing I'm excited for is New Year's Eve, because I'll spend it entirely away from my family for the first time ever.

As for gifts, I'm not hyped about anything, and I mean it literally. I'm not in need of anything that I can be gifted with except for clothes (gaining +40 pounds in the last 20 months doesn't go unnoticed, you know), and since every year a few of them come over I'm expecting to have double or triple rounds this year

Only one of my cousins gives away gifts for these holidays, and we think it's because of his wife who hails from a land where Christmas is heavily celebrated. I'm not saying I won't follow his example, but first I'd need to have some source of income and also be somewhat aware of what my family could like to get.

Giving: Probably snacks.

Hope to Get? Idk, There's nothing I don't already have.

And other items out there are quite expensive.

So, I'm just waiting it out and Like I've said I'm planning to just treat christmas like a normal day.

Man, what a fantastic start to the thread.

Now that I've got a relatively well paying job, I'm happy to be able to give gifts with a bit higher of a price tag. In a few hours, I'll be taking my dad to Miami for a hockey game (ironic, I know) as a birthday/Christmas present (hey, it's expensive, lol). My youngest sister will be the owner of a pair of new bluetooth headphones, and my other sister is more of a 'quality time' person so I'll take her to supper and a movie soon. As for my mom, well, I bought her a hammock, only to find out she had already ordered one for herself. I'm now scrambling to find a good gift, lol.

As for what I get, it honestly doesn't make a ton of difference to me. It's the thought and intent behind it that matters most.

EX Palen : For some reason I thought you lived in the UK. I'm guessing that's not correct? Just going by what you said in regards to your cousin marrying someone from a land where Christmas is more of a big deal.

SuperCrash64 : Well kudos on being content and not demanding. It's good to hear someone is happy with what they have.

merf : Tell me about it.

What? Nothing for me? Bluetooth headphones? Nice! I'm looking for some Bluetooth speakers, but I'm totally not jealous.
That about your mom though...xD Good luck picking something up in time. Might I suggest a 55" OLED 4KTV? I know I'd like one anyway, so that means anyone would, right? Seems logical. :V

Eirinn : After the many times I've said things about Spain, me talking Spanish and even not being good at speaking English, you still thought I live in the UK? I can understand you didn't correctly locate the city I state in my profile, but man...

I think you should focus more in geography rather than learning Japanese, but whatever

And well, in case someone was wondering, that said land is Germany. There's no country like that when it comes to Christmas holidays.
