Okay, so I feel a total loser for being excited about this movie but I was a kid when the first power rangers show came out and maybe I liked it a bit

Still, this is another modernizing of a show that may or may not be better than the original. I'm going to check it out for sure though. Much more mature seeming than the original show was.

We also laughed at the fact that the "Megazord"  or however you spell it was a poor attempt at copying Voltron. If they make an actual good movie from this, then I will be impressed.

So I am not saying that this trailer is necessarily bad, but the movie could potentially be something different.

The look of the trailer has me hopeful that it will be better. I try and keep my expectations as low as possible with Hollywood though. It's never as good as I wish it would be.

Edgy Power Rangers

I can't wait! Although will this be a trainwreck like almost every edgy reboot they make nowadays? Or will this actually be a movie liked by people? Only time can tell as of now. Although none of the crew are posting pretty horrible stuff on Twitter, so there's at least one point toward this being a decent movie.

When I saw the trailer the very first time, I was shocked when it was revealed that it was in fact Power Rangers. To me, the first part of the trailer was heading in the complete opposite direction of a Power Rangers movie. I'm not a huge fan of the series, but thanks to that first part of the trailer, I think that the story of their lives leading up to their discovery could be something that I really like.

Personally, if I do see it, I probably won't until after it's been out in theaters for a week or so. I'd want to be able to see a few of the reviews before I make a decision. Has the trailer looked like it would be on par with other stuff I have seen, I probably would have just waited until the movie was on DVD, but the story and graphics are a huge plus for me.

I'm not entirely sure how well it has gone down, but I hope that it's more original than the Super Sentai series which Power Rangers were originally based on.

I really love this movie. The only thing I can complain about it is the fact that we didn't get an updated version of the Go Go Power Rangers theme, as the 1995 version from that movie stuck out like a sore thumb with the rest of the soundtrack from the movie.
