Foxyman1113 and I will be playing a bunch of 2 player PlayStation games in order to come up with 8-12 fun games to use for the upcoming annual winter tournament. The goal is to find games that can be played in around 15 minutes or less.

If anyone has any suggestions for fun PlayStation games that can be played competitively between 2 players, feel free to recommend them to this thread and we'll hopefully get around to testing them out. You can also recommend games during the stream. We're hoping to get a variety of genre's and a good selection of games that represent the PlayStation.

Not sure if you already have these in mind, but my first recommendations would be as follows:

You already played the original Gran Turismo in the stream you made for the 20th anniversary of the PSX's launch, so I say go to the sequel Gran Turismo 2 for this stream. It has a slightly wider array of tracks, including dirt tracks for the first time in the franchise, and also a wider array of cars and categories to choose from. It was one of the best games for that console, if not the best, so it's a must for this stream.

My second recommendation would be Tekken 3. While its sequel already had a relatively big character roster, the last installment marked the jump into what is still today the canon storyline with its current main protagonist, and thus I think it deserves more to be in this stream. If you could also unlock a special mode called Tekken Ball, the stream would be even more funny to watch.

I could make more recommendations, but outside of fighting and racing games I have limited knowledge about enjoyable games for the PSX. At most, I'd go with Digimon Digital Card Battle, which is mostly strategy-based and not that hard to understand. If you think you could include more racing or fighting games to the stream, I can give out a few more recommendations, but that's all.

I'm not sure if I'll make it to the whole stream, so do you think you could upload it to your Youtube channel to watch anytime? Your last PSX stream for the 20th anniversary was so enjoyable that I'd hate to miss this one.

What about crash team racing? Crash bash,

Well, you can try Battle Hunter... it's for one to four players, winner takes all, and if someone finds the target item and leaves quickly it can take less than 15 minutes.

On the other hand, if someone gets the item and a brawl starts, it can take quite a bit longer.

Capcom vs. SNK.  There's nothing like a Street Fighter type game for quick competitive multiplayer.

I would like to suggest Mezase! Senkyuuou aka Battle Balls.  It's a simple matching game similar to the puyo puyo games or Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, only instead of weird jelly things you're matching colored balls.  Another suggestion would be Worms Armageddon because when are the worms games not fun?

I would suggest the good old Team Buddies, lot of fun, and can played even as 4 player game.

Davideo7 : Definitely any kind of sport game would be nice, say basketball, football, etc.
