For a days, I was playing the English Aeon Genesis translation of Mystic Ark. For the first 3 hours, everything goes well, but then I got to a point in the first world where I needed to collect ingredients to calm a beast. This is when I retrieved black ore from the caves. In the Quarry of the Bloodhook, I talked to the cat that was standing besides the stone, and he told my character to come with him. A dialogue box came out of nowhere from seemingly out of the current screen. After I regain control of my character, I examined the current room and found out that there are no other characters. I´m assuming that there are supposed to be more characters in the room to progress a cutscene, but since they are seemingly missing, the scene ends abruptly. I talked to the cat again, and it walks south-east like the first time, and the cutscene ends without going through it all. I did it again, and the cat just leaves through the wall, leaving my character stuck on the floor, unable to talk to him again. I´m at the point of the game where I still need to get an Onion and a Healing Sapling, but it sounds to me like that Quarry might´ve been important. So at this point, I´m thinking that the Aeon Genesis translation of Mystic Ark is completely unplayable. My only hope now is to either wait for someone to fix it, or wait for the Dynamic Designs translation to come into the RGR as well.

Have you tried downloading a rom of it and seeing if that works? If it does then send it in to the rgr staff and they can add in the working rom.

If so, we can have it added rather than trying to fix something we have no control over...

I do have to tell you: it´s version 1, not 1.01 like the official Dynamic Designs website says, although I don´t really know the differences between the two.
