I tried to find a thread about this but couldn't find one. I think it was talked about a little bit in other posts. So I made my own that is only for this topic.
Do you like comic cons? Have you gone or would like to go to one? What is your favorite to go to? Which would you like to go to if you lived close enough? Do you wear costumes to the cons? If you wear costumes do you make them yourself/with help or do you buy them ready to wear or do you buy it in pieces from different places to put together? Do you have any ideas or instructions on how to make your own costumes or props? Do you prefer homemade or store bought ready to wear?
I like to go to comic cons. I have only gone to Wizard World 2 years in a row. But next year they are going to a city too far away for a one day trip so we may not go. This year I was Finn from Adventure Time, with Jake on my backpack and BMO in my pocket. My mom made the backpack, sword and hat with some help from me. I wore shorts, shoes & shirt I already owned. We added on snaps to shirt & backpack to hold backpack on better all day. The socks we cut down an old pair of tube socks and made donuts, then rolled tall thin socks over them to make it like Finn's in the show. I tried to upload a picture but it was too big and caused it to cancel my whole post and had to start over. I also wore it for Halloween. Next year I may be Trunks from Dragon Ball Z but haven't decided yet. I may have to just wear it for Halloween since WW will be too far away. I prefer seeing homemade because I know it takes a lot of time and work. But ready to wear bought ones are nice too, especially if it's something too hard to make from scratch or if the person doesn't want to or have the time to make it.
