So Christmas is nearing! With each passing day it gets closer. Do you plan on going to see the Christmas lights this year again in the most popular places of your home town? Seeing Christmas lights really fills up my spirit for Christmas because of how beautiful it looks. I say it looks even better when snow has fallen from the sky to give it that glist touch of feel. I hope to go and see the Christmas lights again this year. So what about you guys?

Nope, theres going to be everywhere so there's no way to go out and look at them. I might go out once in a while to look at the tree lighting though, that might be pretty nice.

zanderlex : I hope you can do something like that, it looks more nicer on trees than houses and streets. I could be wrong though since they all look pretty on whatever they get hung on.

The Christmas lights are already up (not on yet but they have put them up)and I do plan to go see them. I like the decorations that are put on display in the the city centre (I live beside there now so it is just a few minutes walk away).

Trees? I never see any trees with decorations outside, nor on streets either except for when I'm in some big city intersection and there's some lights, it's always just on houses.

Seeing something like that would be very strange here, I think if someone were to do that, there would be a lot of vandalism, people would start stealing all the stuff, breaking down the tree, etc.

Well also it varies by state and city apparently since decorations on trees is fairly common here. Of course we have tons of trees everywhere here so it makes sense.


As for the question, we used to go places nearby to see the decorations when we had a car, but we can't now. Basically there's this "rich" neighborhood in the city I live in and most people there put up decorations, and some really go all out with lights and figures that blink and move in time with music, or with inflatables that must be every bit of eight feet, giant snow globes, slideshows, and all sorts of other great (and sometimes just crazy) stuff. It's so cool driving around looking at it. I miss seeing those.

As far as famous places, I can only think of one but it isn't nearly as good as that neighborhood I mentioned, plus it's about seventy miles away. I've been there twice but wasn't impressed at all.
