[update] I try blocking it but this tricky little ad makes a new random domain. Whoever is making this ad is no robot and likely an actual human hacker.

[Original post] As anyone else seen this huge ad on your screen, it takes you away to another site that isn't on vizzed and tells you about an "Urgent update to chrome". this rarely happens but now it has increased with it being more random than before.

also for some people who do not know chrome, google will never interrupt your website for an update. the browser auto-updates on the background when the user is inactive.

I'm having the same issue with Firefox. Wouldn't be surprised if other browsers had the same problem

Posting to say that I'm having the same update things too.

Good thing they don't happen that often but...

It's all part of the ads David is adding to help keep the site afloat, and I agree with the statement that it's getting a little too much. Ads to keep the site running is one thing and totally fine, but ads that may end up harming an oblivious user kinda need to be regulated.

Same here,Johnny. I think it is unnecessary and quite frankly a pain. Someone will wind up downloading that garbage.

The ads have gotten even worse, this time it's using the whole "Cover up the screen with an invisible ad and people will click on it." I have to use my adblock for it because its too much.

Davideo7 : this has gotten serious

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
