Universal Contact – Chapter 3: The first assignment

The Legendary Three saw something in the last chapter. It was a person. And not any person: It was the Aeronothic god Life. Life was in a very, very bad condition and was almost fainting.
Legendary Green: “Life! Are you alright?”
Life: “H-...He... I-...is...... Abo-......”
Life fainted.
Legendary Blue: “Abo? Like as in... Oh no...”
The three looked up and saw a robot landing with immense power in the rocky ground, shattering stones everywhere. The three held their arms in front of them to protect themselves against the stones and mud. The robot held a green crystal in his hands.
???: “Mua-ha-ha! Now...-this-puny-planet-will-be-mine-if-I-use-my-treasure!-And-the-three-legendary-heroes-and-this-Destiny-Crystal-will-belong-to-me!”
Legendary Blue: “Who says we’re coming with you?”
Legendary Blue was making himself ready to dash away. Legendary Green grabbed his sword and shield. Legendary Red was putting his cap on his head (Of which he took off earlier) and grabbed a flower. He ate it and the others looked at him with a disgusting face.
Legendary Red: “What? Now-e I can shoot-e fire!”
Legendary Red transformed into a different suit and fire was spinning around his hands.
???: “Mua-ha...-If-you-three-refuse...-I’d-like-to-see-you-three-try-to-beat...-THIS!”
The robot created an energy ball and used it on itself. Purple matter started to spin around him and a lot of sparks come off of him. Legendary Red was about to attack, but Legendary Green held his sword in front of him.
Legendary Green: “Don’t! He has a counter shield now: If we attack, WE get ALL the damage! It’s useless!”
Legendary Blue: “Aww... I wanted to make a new speed record...”
Legendary Green threw his weapons on the ground. Legendary Red transformed back to his previous suit.
Legendary Green: “Flee, Metalblade. Flee. You beat us.”
The robot’s name was Metalblade. It had red glowing eyes.
Metalblade: “Ha!-I-don’t-flee!”
Metalblade used his powers to create a portal underneath the Legendary Three with energy beams. And as expected, the Legendary Three fell in the portal, landing in a cage on the other side. The cage was locked once they were in it, and they seemed to be in a factory.
Legendary Green: “Wait... This factory seems familiar... It’s the ‘Robot Works’ factory!”
Legendary Blue: “But why in Aeronother are we here?”
The cage with the Legendary Three inside was transported to a room where the designing of the robots was.
Legendary Red: “Why do they-e want to go-e here-e with us?”
The Legendary Three were filled with questions. And no one could answer them now.

Meanwhile...

Aland, Jessica, Draco, Barney and Brian were walking to Sandy Desert, to a small abandoned base that possibly had a safe with special weapons. Alana was tired, but the others weren’t.
Alana: “How long are we going to walk...”
Jessica: “Well, we only have 200 miles left... Shouldn’t be a big deal.”
Alana fell on the ground. Apparently a rock was pointing out of the ground and Alana struggled over it. Brian went up to Alana, with Barney next to him.
Barney/Brian: “We know what to do.”
The two used their powers to make Alana float in the air and let her float next to them.
Jessica: “Isn’t that dangerous?”
Draco: “Of course it is. But it’s not that you care...”
Jessica: “Draco, please! Be nice for once!”
Draco jumped in the air and landed in front of Jessica. He pointed at her.
Draco: “There is no one on Aeronother that’s “nice” since HE appeared. Everyone is in a war and we are the only species that live in harmony.”
Jessica looked at Draco with a serious expression on her face.
Jessica: “...”
Draco: “Lost your tongue? Good, because you never will say anything better than that.”
Draco turned around and went forward.
Barney/Brian: “Geez, he sure is in a bad mood today...”
Brian: “He is, brother?”
Barney: “I was about to say that to you.”
The Telekinetic Twins were still taking Alana with them by their powers.
Jessica: “I don't think so... I think he has something we don't know... I'll keep an eye on him..."
Jessica, Barney, Brian, Draco and Alana arrived at the edge of the Forest of Thousand Riddles. But once they wanted to step into Sandy Desert...
???: "Halt. You will not pass."
A black hedgehog-looking creature with a mean look was standing there. He didn't seem that he would welcome the five.
???: "I don't know whether you are heroes or villains, but Sandy Desert is way too dangerous now."
Jessica: "Wh-what? It is?"
???: "Yes. If you have a mission, I must guide you. Sandstorms and earthquakes occur way too fast. And District 2 from Treehouse Base fell..."
Jessica: "...in a hole, i know. We all come from there."
???: "Mph."
The hedgehog went away. He was going in the desert. The others were staying in the forest.
???: "Coming?"
The others went up to the hedgehog. Together, they went deeper in Sandy Desert. While walking to the abandoned base, they were talking a bit to each other.
Jessica: "So... I never saw you around..."
???: "My name doesn't matter. But indeed, i do not come from around."
Barney/Brian: "Where do you come from?"
???: "Doesn't matter either. But alright, call me Shadow."
Draco: "Heh... Shadow..."
Shadow went up to Draco with a mad face. He grabbed his shirt and raised a fist, of which created dark smoke around it.
Shadow: "What's wrong with my name, Draco?"
Draco didn't seem to be scared at all.
Shadow: "I don't think you want to mess around with me, Draco von Gravenlord. I am your worst nightmare and if you mess around with me, i'll stay like that. Understood?"
Draco: "Yes."
Shadow released him and went further. The others were following him.

Somewhere else...

A shade with a hood and a cape and a shade with a helmet and a cape went through a hallway where pillars collapsed, ceilings broke and floors had cracks. And to top it up: Nothing was moving. Only those shades.
???: "So, Lomer... You said you found another Destiny Crystal?"
Lomer was the shade with the knight's helmet.
Lomer: "Yes, Eevel. And it's near the abandoned base in Sandy Desert."
Eevel: "Ghahaha! I can't wait to tell this to master Suroniar... He will be glad!"
The two arrived at an enormous door.
Lomer: "*gulp* Here is his spot..."
Eevel: "*gulp* Yes... L-let' go..."
Lomer: "Are you s-scared?"
Eevel: "N-no... You?..."
Lomer: "N-not even..."
The two knocked the door.
???: "In."
The two heard their master saying they were allowed to get in. The two went inside and saw their master Suroniar. He had black, short hair and red eyes.. He was wearing a long cape in black, a chestplate with spikes in black, an armored shirt underneath that and armored pants in black. His shoes were black too and covered with spikes. He also was wearing a black helmet with horns when in battle.
Master Suroniar: "Aaah, Lomer and Eevel. Tell me, what brings you two here?"
Lomer: "Well, i found a Destiny Crystal in Sandy Desert, guarded by the goddess Faith. She is very strong and even set up shade traps!"
Eevel: "Yes. And we wanted to ask if... Gheheh... we could get some improvements?"
Master Suroniar: "..."
Lomer and Eevel were thinking: Uh-oh, not a good sign...
Master Suroniar: "...Ha... Ha ha..."
Master Suroniar started to laugh. Lomer and Eevel laughed with him, but didn't knew why.
Master Suroniar: "Of course not! How brutal!! GUARDS!!! THROW THESE TWO IN THE CHAMBER OF PUNISHMENT!"
4 medieval knights were dashing to Lomer and Eevel and grabbed their arms. Then they dashed to the cells in the basement.
Master Suroniar: "Heh heh heh... I know a better idea... I just need to call someone..."

Back to the six heroes in Sandy Desert...

Alana fell on the ground once she had to walk for her own. And that’s obvious: She was walking in an insanely hot desert. With five people she didn’t knew. Draco grinned and Shadow didn’t stop. Jessica, however, did stop.
Jessica: “Uhm... Guys? Shouldn’t we just stop?”
Barney and Brian lifted up Alana with their powers again and took her with them.
Jessica: “Oh...”
They arrived at the base, 24 minutes later. There were no problems, except Alana who fainted. Jessica grabbed a card from her pocket to open the base. That card was a card key. She opened the base.
???: “Access granted.”
Jessica and the others went inside. It was pretty cold in the base, but that’s exactly what they need. Alana woke up once they gave her some water and let her cool down.
Alana: “Ow... I’ve got such a big headache now...”
Shadow: “Hmph...”
Shadow went away. He even left the base, realizing he left the five alone. He was about to run away, but said something.
Shadow: “Protect the Destiny Crystal.”
Shadow ran away with an immense speed. Jessica was thinking out loud.
Jessica: “Hmm... A Destiny Crystal? Here?”
Barney: “Impossible! That Destiny Crystal...”
Brian: “...has been exported to somewhere else!”
Draco: “No... It wasn’t, you liars. In fact, it’s nearby.”
Jessica grabbed a small device with a lot of buttons on it. And a touch screen and a lamp. That lamp was a hologram. And it said “Protice 6.0” on the sides. She looked on her radar and indeed, an immense cloud of yellow dots is nearby.
Jessica: “Yellow dots... One dot is an Aeronoth with powers, so...”
Barney was cleaning his glasses. Brian was inspecting his glasses. They both had their eyes closed.
Barney/Brian: “It’s the Destiny Crystal.”
Jessica put away her Protice and sighed.
Jessica: “Should we take a look?”
Barney/Brian: “Sure thing!”
Alana: “Ow... I’ll stay here.
Draco: “Ha... You wouldn’t stay here. It’s too dangerous.”
Alana was silent. Jessica and the Telekinetic Twins went away.
Draco: “Talk to me!”
Alana: “What do I need to say? Fine, I’ll go with them.”
Draco went up to Alana.
Draco: “It’s your hair color, isn’t it? It’s your hair color that makes you so stupid and dumb.”
Jessica, Barney and Brian were already away from the abandoned base.
Draco: “A coward. That’s what you are. And even with your fake training, you’ll always stay like that. You’re nothing more than an insect I can crush easily.”
Draco went upstairs.
Draco: “Now scram.”
Alana began to shake a bit. She was getting insanely angry and sad at once.
Alana: “Now it’s ENOUGH!!!”
She was going to the stairs and pulled the stairs to break the fence. The stairs were actually holding up the first floor and above (until the fourth floor), but Alana was so mad that her secret power was added to the pull on the stair fence, resulting into the fact that Alana pulled the entire stairs from its place. The stairs crashed into a wall which broke down and the entire base collapsed, with Draco still in it as well. Alana was getting buried under the steel. Meanwhile, Jessica and the Twins heard a loud, shrieking noise of the building, collapsing until it broke down completely. They ran towards the building without a doubt and saw a hand of someone, trying to escape. Jessica pulled the person out. That wasn’t easy. And the person was Draco, who had bruises and wounds everywhere.
Jessica: “Are you okay? Where’s Alana?”
Draco: “I’m okay, and she probably escaped already.”
Suddenly, Alana’s hand stuck out of the mess. Jessica ran up to her to pull her out. She succeeded and Alana had a lot of wounds too. Jessica came up to Draco and slapped him in his face really, really hard. He didn’t really had pain.
Jessica: “You liar! You said she ran away!”
Draco: “Look, she is an Outsider. And Outsiders are not allowed to stay on Aeronother.”
Jessica: “Huh?”
Barney/Brian: “This is new to us too.”
Draco: “Shut up, you two. Aeronoths are always peaceful creatures, but that Outsider came up to us and boom, everything became worse!”
Jessica: “It doesn’t have to do anything with her, you... you... Dumbhead!”
Draco: “Oh, you can’t say anything better than that? That’s a shame.”
Jessica tried to punch Draco, but he held her arm and black and dark flames came around his hand. The spot Jessica’s arm was held turned into a white skin color.
Jessica: “Urgh!”
Draco: “You stay away from me or I’ll make this, what I’m doing, worse.”
Alana went up with some help from Barney and Brian. Draco released Jessica and her arm turned normal again.
Alana: “Ow... Thanks, guys... *cough*”
Alana was looking at Draco. She went up towards him with a hostile looking and made fists from her hands. Jessica was shaking her head to say “No, don’t do it”. Alana pushed Draco on the ground, and an iron plate hit his back. Alana was very furious.
Alana: “Why do you want me, huh?! WHY IN EARTH’S NAME DO YOU...”
Jessica held Alana once she was about to attack Draco. Around Alana’s arms was spinning some crystal shards, and that made Jessica do what’s needed.
Jessica: “Alana! No! STOP!”
Alana was still yelling and pushing against Jessica. Draco went up and stuck his arm out. He shot a dark energy ball at Alana, and she fainted immediately. Jessica was looking at Draco.
Jessica: “Draco! What in Aeronother’s name created this... hateful connection between you two?!”
Draco: “Not that you care anyway...”
Draco vanished. Dark smoke went up in the skies and he teleported away. Teleporting takes a lot of energy for him, so he was very tired at his destination. Jessica, meanwhile, picked up Alana with her left arm under Alana’s knees and her right arm under Alana’s shoulders. She was going to a sandy cave nearby, together with the Telekinetic Twins.

Meanwhile...

Metalblade was flying through the sky. (You know, the robot from earlier) He was flying using his jets build in his feet. He was flying to a big factory, where they made robots. Once he was at the front gate, he landed there and his left hand transformed into a card key. He used his hand to open the factory’s front gate, which was 15 feet high.
???: “Access granted.”
The gate was getting opened automatically. Metalblade went inside the factory and saw robots from half his size working there. One of them came up to him, put his cap off and on and walked next to him.
Robot: “Boss, production 293 turned out to contain a failure and the trash can is full. The garbage truck arrives in a week!”
Metalblade: “Hmm...-Why-not-try-and-destroy-the-failed-robot?”
Robot: “Well... The failure is...”
The robot had real human expressions, but was still made of steel. The robot now made a pretty nervous expression.
Robot: “...eh...”
Metalblade turned his body to the robot.
Metalblade: “What’s-wrong-with-the-robot,-C76K92?
Robot: “L-look for yourself...”
A lot of wooden crates that contained finished robots was getting smashed against a wall and everything broke into millions of pieces. Then, a robot that looked like a human was flying towards Metalblade and tried to attack him. Metalblade jumped to dodge it and the new robot crashed into the front gate.
Metalblade: “Interesting...-Keep-it-alive.”
Metalblade went away.
Robot: “B-but... Boss! What about...”
Metalblade pointed at his neck. It was full of mechanisms and wires. Metalblade had spikes on his head and he was wearing a chest plate made of diamonds. He also had a wide torso, to look tough.
Metalblade: “Repair-my-speech,-will-you?”
The robot’s legs extended itself so that the robot could reach Metalblade’s neck. The robot’s arm turned into a screwdriver and he made the speech chip from Metalblade a bit more tight to his core. Then, the robot grabbed a metal plate and made his head like so, that his speech chip is protected. Metalblade started to talk with a low voice.
Metalblade: “Ah, thank you, C76K92. Now, back to...”
Metalblade looked back at the human robot that crashed, but in the front gate was a hole. It escaped. Metalblade and several of Guardbots (= Robots that carry weapons and look like a medieval knight as protection) came up to the gate.
Metalblade: “Grr... It escaped!”
Metalblade used his jets to fly away.
Metalblade: “Guardbot L27U89, tell Ultrabolt that he leads this factory until I return!”
Guardbot: “I – will. – Don’t – worry.”
The guardbot went inside to tell Metalblade’s brother, Ultrabolt, to take the leadership. Guardbots aren’t made to talk, so their speech is very poor. Meanwhile, Metalblade flew after the new robot that escaped. The new robot looked like a young female with green hair and a real skin. The skin was white and the robot had green human-looking robot eyes. Its clothing was basically a grey t-shirt and very short grey pants. It was the standard clothing of all robots in that factory. No matter on what gender they’re based on, they get those clothes. Back to the chase, because the robot’s arm turned into an energy cannon, to shoot energy balls at Metalblade. That’s what is did: It shot energy balls at Metalblade while flying toward a landscape called Candy Meadows. Now that name sounds familiar to the landscape the Treehouse Base is in... Metalblade dodged the energy balls except for one, which hit his spikes on his head. He thought it wouldn’t hurt to destroy it with his spikes, but apparently it does. He crashed into the Forest of Thousand Riddles. And the new robot didn’t see Metalblade anymore. It landed in Candy Meadows, a few miles next to the Treehouse Base.

Back to Alana and the others...

Alana woke up and saw Jessica, Barney, Brian and someone else in a sandy cave. The three were fighting that fourth person with all their powers. The person was a male and... had bird wings on his back? He also had no shirt, and his six-pack and muscles were visible. He was wearing some short pants, though. His name was Truth. Truth was one of the gods that guarded a Destiny Crystal.
Truth: “I will not let you pass, so give up already!”
Jessica: “Listen, sir, we’re not here to steal the Destiny Crystal! We want to help with protecting it!”
Barney: “Yes! Because more and more Destiny Crystals are getting stolen...”
Brian: “...and your siblings faint one by one!”
Truth: “...”
Truth was staring at them. He had the power to make people believe things or not. That was his role.
Truth: “Alright. I believe you.”
Jessica: “Finally. Trust us, we’re from the Treehouse Base nearby. We really don’t do evil things, honestly.”
Barney/Brian: “Do we look like thieves?”
Truth was, again, silent. He vanished. A flash appeared and he disappeared. Once the flash disappeared, Alana went up to Jessica.
Alana: “Who was that?”
Jessica: “That was...”
Jessica’s Protice used the phone function to send a call to her. She looked and it was Jason, her boyfriend.
Jessica: “Hey, babe! What? Where we are? In Truth’s cave, to protect a Destiny Crystal! What? I can’t hear...”
Jessica couldn’t understand Jason well, because the signal was poor.
Jessica: “Oh my lord, really? Okay, we’re on our way!”
Jessica ended the call. She looked at Alana.
Jessica: “Draco is going to spreading lies about you, Alana. He’s going to say you’re an Outsider to everyone! We need to hurry!”
The four ran back to the Treehouse Base. It was tough, but they arrived pretty quickly: In 2 hours and 13 minutes. Once they arrived, they saw Draco getting all heroes their attention and telling everyone the following:
Draco: “Alana is an Outsider, most of you know that. But once she came on Aeronother, the earthquakes and volcano eruptions became worse.”
Red was looking at Draco with a skeptical face. Red was that Pokémon trainer from Chapter 1.
Red: “Does this have to do with Alana in ANY way?”
Draco: “Yes. You see, Outsiders only have caused trouble since the birth of this planet. And we always eliminated them and it went well after that.”
Leonardo: “So... You say we have to...”
Draco: “Yes... We must kill Alana.”
Alana was standing in the doorway. She had a shock through her whole body.
Alana: “K-kill me?”
Draco: “Attack her now you can, my fellow heroes.”
Everyone came up to Alana, grabbing their weapons and looking hostile. Alana turned around to flee, but Leonardo grabbed her shirt. He looked at her.
Leonardo: “Forgive me, Alana.”
He grabbed a sword, but someone from above threw a big stone on Leonardo’s head. He released Alana and she fled. Leonardo even fainted. Jessica went after Alana and looked at the source of that stone: It was the Master!
Master ???: “Run. I’ll make this right to the others and Draco and look for you.”
Jessica understood the Master and went after Alana, who thought Jessica was going to harm her. And a shady character went after the two as well.
