a strange thing happened to me today while I was online I clicked onto a website when suddenly a message appeared not to turn off my computer because a zeus virus had been detected, when this message appeared I immediately turned off my power bar that my computer is connected to and was able to restart my computer, once my windows 7 was finished setting up I then  clicked on to my antivirus bubble and did a system scan to make sure that nothing was damaged fortunately once the scan was completed there was no virus detected but it,s scary to think about what could have happened had I left my computer on at the time, about six years ago before I discovered Viz I use to go to another game site to play game gear and atari games, then one day when I went to the website a camera square appeared at the bottom of my screen and when I clicked onto it my computer suddenly went out but luckily I was able to get my computer back on and run a system scan on it,my antivirus did in fact pick up a virus and it took over an hour to remove it,while I have herd of some different names of viruses such as trojan horse I have never herd of zeus virus but I was just wondering if anyone else has

The Zeus virus does actually exist, and it is designed to steal information from infected computers. Its name is also used by scammers trying to trick people into thinking their system is infected so they'll pay money. It sounds like your first example was just you clicking on a website that was less than trustworthy and being redirected to a scam website.

Your second example, however, is odd. I've never heard of a "camera square" before, but I've experienced the same type of thing. I used to use other sites to play retro games in my browser, and it did similar things. Did the "DON'T TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER" site also have a telephone number on it? If so, it's a scam. Just be a little more careful with where you browse.

Never heard of it, but either way it sounds mega scary. I haven't heard of too many viruses going around since we all stopped downloading music lol, but I know they still exist.

Oh man I hope I never run into that type of problem since it would be hard to deal with. Sorry you went though that it seems that virus is really deadly to many peoples computers. I have never heard of this virus until now. @.@
