Guess the superstition still holds true that those who wear the white jerseys have overwhelming odds of winning the superbowl.

Davideo7 : You might find this interesting, Packers are only team in past decade to win the superbowl with their colored jerseys.

NFL MVPs of the regular season have had a pretty lengthy drought in the Super Bowl as well... A regular season MVP has not won the Super Bowl since 2000 I believe.

Well, free agency hasn't the way I hoped it would so far for the Bengals. I was hoping to see Whitworth come back, but he decided to go to the L.A. Rams. I'm not looking forward to seeing Cedric Ogbuehi take his place at LT, seeing how awful he was last year on the right side. The one thing that went right was bringing back Dre Kirkpatrick.

As far as the rest of the league goes, so far, I'd say the best pickup for any team so far would be again, L.A. Rams getting Andrew Whitworth. Even though he's 35 years old, he's playing like he's in his prime. He's a great locker room leader, and he's one of the best guys a young QB like Jared Goff can have protecting his blind side.

As far as who's the worst free agent signing, Kenny Britt getting a 4 year, 32.5 million dollar deal from the Browns after only having 1 decent season in his 8 year career is by far the worst and most overpriced deal so far this free agency.

I thought it was pretty crazy that the Browns basically paid 16 million for a 2nd round draft pick as it sounds like Osweiler isn't going to be a part of the team moving forward. This move seems to be one that allows them to hit the salary cap floor. Seems like a strange move to me, as I would rather just actually sign players that could help for that money...but this is the Browns so I shouldn't be surprised. I wonder how well that will go over in the locker room...THe only way this works in my mind is if they can somehow flip picks or Osweiler to the Pats for Garoppolo

Personally, I feel like the Jaguars had the best FA signings so far. They signed Calias Campbell and AJ Bouye two of the best young talents available. A HUGE boost to their defense with a couple of game changers.

A close second goes to the Patriots, who signed Stephon Gilmore to their defense. A move that is quite unlike the Pats, but none the less should make their defense that much stronger in the secondary.

Looks like the Eagles trying to load up on offense with the addition of Alshon Jeffery from the Bears and Torrey Smith from the 49ers. They also grabbed some help for the O - line in Chance Warmack. Carson Wentz has plenty of weapons now...could be a big sophmore year for him.

One shocker to me...Brandin Cooks traded to the Patriots. I thought when the Saints drafted Cooks he'd be there for a while, but that obviously wasn't the case. The Saints received the 32nd overall pick and a Patriots 3rd rounder. I would assume they're going defense with those picks.

Yeah it seemed that the writing was on the wall that at some point they were going to move him when he was complaining that they weren't getting him the ball enough, and the coaching staff didn't seem to be in a hurry to change that.

Sucks for the rest of the league that now Cooks is going to be getting the 10+ receptions a game that he's bound to get running the type of offense that Brady runs.

I haven't been this excited about a Bengals 1st Round pick since A.J. Green back in 2011. After hearing reports about the Bengals were looking at possibly taking him at 9 and hearing John Ross himself talk about how Marvin Lewis gave him vibes of his college coach, I was starting to have good feeling that they'd take him with the 9th overall pick. I was actually jumping up and down for joy as I saw John Ross get picked. I realize he's a big risk due to his injury history, but having him alongside A.J. Green, Eifert, and Boyd in the passing game gives the Bengals what I would consider to be the best receiving group in the NFL. The only other guy I desperately want the Bengals to take is kicker Zane Gonzalez.

As far as the rest of the picks go, I'm absolutely shocked that 3 teams traded up to draft QB's, 2 of which giving their 2018 1st round pick to the team they traded with. The Browns and Bills have a lot of ammunition in next years draft.

Not sure what to think about the Falcons picking Tak McKinley. He's definitely fills a need as another pass rusher opposite Vic Beasley, but then again we moved up 5 spots to get him and gave up a 3rd rounder in the process. Dan Quinn was PUMPED about his pick though, which made me feel better about it. But I can't help but think "would he have been there at 31?" I don't know why we moved up but I do like the pick.

The bottom line is that I trust Quinn's process. This time last year, I thought the same thing when he picked Keanu Neal with his #1 pick. Last year I thought "Neal would've lasted to round 2 since another safety wasn't selected until AFTER Atlanta's round 2 pick." And look what happened...the Falcons came as close as you could possibly come to winning a Super Bowl without actually winning it. It looks like we're primed to make another run though.

The NFC South will be a tough division this year. With the Panthers getting a running back, the Saints getting a corner, and the Bucs picking up a tight end this division looks like its up for grabs. I'll bet the division will be decided in the last 4 games on the Falcons scheduling, considering they are ALL division games.

Can you all believe that Training camp starts on the 19th for rookies on a few teams? Next week the NFL will be kicking off training camp for all players/teams and you know what that means...the season is going to be here in the blink of an eye.

Time to start getting a little more serious about my Fantasy Football projections. I do a little research here and there starting after the draft, but I start kicking it up a notch when training camp starts.

Well well well, looks like the NFL finally decided to hand a lengthy suspension to someone for a reason other than substance abuse. Even though Ezekiel Elliot got handed a 6 game suspension for domestic violence, it'll probably get reduced after the appeal, knowing the NFL.

Also, even though we still have a few more games left in week 1 of the preseason, I think it's safe to say the biggest loser of week 1 is definitely Buccaneers kicker Roberto Aguayo. After coming off of an abysmal rookie season, he went 1 for 2 on field goals against the Bengals and missed his only extra point attempt of the night. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he ends up getting cut by the team before the start of the regular season. It's hard to believe he was their 2nd round pick last year.

Really excited that NFL week 1 is already here! What a crazy start to the early games! Always funny to see how sloppy teams are in week 1.

Have fun everyone!

Here are some takeaways from week one and two.

The Ravens defense could be very good this year. As always how good can the offense be. Baltimore must do a better job of passing they have the tools to do it.

The Bengals need a new coach. Marvin Lewis has no control over his players. The Bengals once again beat themselves with penalties and missed opportunities against Houston. The Bengals have only scored 9 points in two games. That is very concerning. The defense is good. But when your only scoring less than 10 points your not going to win that many games. Cinci is better than this.

The Browns look like they are better than last year. The gave a very good Pittsburgh team a run for it. The Browns I think should win more than one game.

Green Bay looks to be good their defense got it done and Aaron Rodgers keeps going

The Vikings may be in trouble. Bradford's knee is bugging him will that cause him to miss a few games. Bridgewater is not ready to come back yet as he is still recovering from his blown out knee.

The Chiefs could be a sleeper this year they beat the Patriots.

Denver' could be good this year

Well, the Colts absolutely bombed this season. I chose them as my favorite team when I was 4, because I liked the colors, lol. I don't really get into football that much these days.

tornadocam : What about that Ravens defense in the last game of the season? Just got to love it when your team does not give a darn.
