At no time in my life has anyone ever told me not to use the net or where I should or should not go when I browse. Half of it is because I know how to navigate websites better than they do, but half of it is because they had no interest in using the internet for more than just emails until a few years ago when tablets and cellphones allowed them to receive their news online. Now, they still come to me whenever they have trouble accessing certain websites and they don't want to deal with the error messages that pop up. lol However, since they still didn't really see the worth of the internet (yeah, they're 99.999999% bookworms, and they read physical books, not ebooks), I never saw the point in asking them about anything that had to do with the internet, and they never bothered to check to see what I was doing. It sounds bad, but I was the one that was always trying to convince them to not give out their real info online, and trying to keep them from accidentally clicking on websites with lots of ads. ^^0;; "No! Don't click on that, it's-!" Leggy's thread BSOD~

My parents do know about the site, and they let me make this account a little while ago. However, I don't think they know that I still use the site and am pretty active on it as well. I'm not sure they know or understand the forum part of Vizzed as I joined here to really just play the Pokémon RGR games. I don't think they would mind me being active here, but I'm not really sure about that, lol.

Well they do know that I use Vizzed, but I don't think they know about me being active on the boards or the chat room. Heck, they only recently allowed me to play multiplayer games. If not for Vizzed I'd probably still be friendless and alone.

My Mom doesn't really know what vizzed or an internet forum is for that matter. I could try to explain it to her but she probably wouldn't fully understand. All she knows is that I talk to people I've met online but not how. She's not exactly very tech savvy or knowledgeable on the internet. I'll confess I'd rather she doesn't know that I'm on here though as I like to keep vizzed separate from people I know IRL and because I tend to act a bit more goofy than usual on here at times . This site often acts as a place for me to go unwind so I like having it that way. Though the same goes for what I do in school too. If she was aware of it, she very likely wouldn't mind since I think she considers me old enough to use my own judgement on the Internet at this point.

If it was 3 or 4 years ago when I first discovered the site then maybe she'd be slightly concerned because she would get it in her head that I might meet a pedophile or something. However she'd probably tell me to be cautious in stead of completely disallowing me from using the site since I was always an obedient child when I was younger. She really doesn't have much of an idea what I do on the internet or my browsing habits in general. Being a single parent working fulltime she couldn't keep track of what I do even if she tried since I spend a lot of time home alone. Not like she'd have the stamina to do it either lol so this way is simply just a lot easier for the both of us.

Thinking about it, people I've met on vizzed probably know my habits better than anyone IRL does since I don't talk too much about what I do on here or other sites outside of the Internet.

Though, he usually gets caught up in the political arguments in the comments. They both come to us for the more "complicated" things. Instead of clicking everything and giving out personal info, my dad always uses fake names for his accounts like I do. I know what you mean about referrals, too. I'll pitch the idea to people I know and they're like "eh... nah."

Even if I told them about this site they wouldn't mind at the slightest. I've always been mature enough to do what I needed to do on my own behalf, my parents know it and have full trust in me. Plus, now that I have my CAE, they surely wouldn't mind me to frequent one of the sites that nurtured my English level to the point I got that certificate with little effort.

Yeah. My family has a large rules board stuck on the fridge, and under "No ice cream after 10 PM" is "No Vissed" (my dad writes the board and he's not very good at spelling). Anyway the last time he caught me on Vizzed he repeated "I TOLD YOU NO GOT DAMN VIZZED" at the top of his lungs for 30 seconds while running to his bedroom to grab his big whackin' stick. I ran out of my room and as I was running to the front door he ripped my PC out of the wall and forcefully chucked it out my window. He then grabbed my monitor by its cord and started swinging it around like a flail, all the while lurching downstairs towards the front door. I burst outside into the front yard and he stood in the front door frame, monitor flail in one hand and whackin' stick in the other. I started running away but he was too fast; he whipped the monitor out and wrapped it around me, then pulled me in. While I was coiled in his trap he started whackin' away with the stick; unfortunately I was only level 17 while he was level 43, and as such he dealt way too much damage for me to survive and I died.

Anyway I hope that never happens again.

I ran out of my room and as I was running to the front door he ripped my PC out of the wall and forcefully chucked it out my window. He then grabbed my monitor by its cord and started swinging it around like a flail, all the while lurching downstairs towards the front door. I burst outside into the front yard and he stood in the front door frame, monitor flail in one hand and whackin' stick in the other. I started running away but he was too fast; he whipped the monitor out and wrapped it around me, then pulled me in. While I was coiled in his trap he started whackin' away with the stick; unfortunately I was only level 17 while he was level 43, and as such he dealt way too much damage for me to survive and I died.

Anyway I hope that never happens again.
