I'm sorry David. I was just very very annoyed, it was extremely frustrating to be browsing and have the board constantly become unresponsive to key commands.
Sure it might be beneficial, but features that are rude and in your face like that one was really p*** me off.

One thing to remember: You can please some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time.
If you make a feature it most likely will be criticized as you can't make everyone happy.
Don't take it to heart, it's not an attack against you or your skills.

Well, I feel like I should comment here a little bit since I'm one of the people that criticize a lot.

Most of my criticism (now) is based from a perspective of making the features as good as possible. I think every idea needs to be talked through by at least a few other people so that different perspectives can be put on it to make sure that it will have the greatest range of appeal.

Making features optional is a lot of extra time but I will definitely keep those things in mind when I've got a little extra time to do those things.

I really like the new features, but I think that the Notifications can be a little tiresome for users like me who get a lot of posts on threads, because I have a lot of them... I think there should be a button to turn the Notifications for thread replies off... I think it is a great feature for newbies though

I love the notifications and announcements. Being able to see what people post without having to go looking is awesome. I would like to see something that let's you know when someone post something after you in any category cause sometimes they post something directly goes to what you say!!

Now when someone uses your referral link, the notification you receive will show where they came from and the referral url they used. Also, each person's profile will show these same stats as well as who referred them (if this info is available).

This is very handy. Though I have an other optional feature to recomend.

It would be useful to make a feature that automatically makes a thread favorited when you post in it, it would be optional.

It's really only for lazy people, but I figure if it wasn't to much trouble it'd be handy.
