Your parents. That's the topic of this question. You only have one father and one mother, and together they take care of you when you're a child, and watching you living your life when you're a grown-up. But how severe are they to you? I mean, there aren't just parents out there who do only weird/funny things with their child(ren). There are also those parents who are pretty severe, like mine.


So the question: How severe are your parents to you? And why do you think that?

In the toddler days my parents were strict, but not to make me and my siblings to the point to hate them. But for us to grow up right. Most of the time they can be severe for our own good even though at times it was annoying. They just want to see that their work and care built into us works out great. So when we have children of our own we would know what to do since being having to experience something, that throughout the years. When we are very well behaved we get surprises like treats or even taken out to a restaurant for being such a well behaved children. Not all parents will be that way see. Since every parent in the world is different with how they raise their children. While most others can be similarities to punishment of what we know that they also gone and experienced of. My parents are not as strict as they were when I was really young, but still keep that to make sure we are kept in line at all times.

There has been points in the years where they went to the extreme....one time I was so scared I can't remember when. And me and my siblings made sure not to go to that, end of the thin line ever again @.@

Also, you can have a step-father or step-mother. In my case my step father was severely abusive physically to me and my mother when I was growing up, so there's that as well...

My parents were actually really lenient to me for the most part. I mean they would punish me in normal ways like grounding me when I did things wrong, but even then I'd get out of it earlier than they said I would in the beginning.

When I was in High School, they never really tried to stop me from coming home at 2 or 3 AM every morning, only to have to wake back up at 6 AM or so for school. They didn't even really care that I started smoking weed pretty much all day every day right after I turned 16 and started working almost full time. 

Really in retrospect they probably let me get away with way too much. I'm not saying they weren't good parents or any thing, but it never helped me in the long run that I could always get out of things instead of actually keeping me in line or following through with their rules and / or punishment as much as they should have.
