Eniitan : sorry I guess I should have explained myself a bit better,I don,t actually mix rum and raisin with vanilla XD lol but sometimes I crumble some cookies and have them on top of vanilla ice cream or I will use chocolate,caramel or strawberry sauce to make a sundae

I love mint and chocolate chip! Cookies and Cream is great too. Although my all time favorite is probably Corn, Maple, or Mint Chocolate Chip. But I love all flavors!

A user of this : I can see why. You explore a lot and it shows. There's never too much of a dull moment for you to love all the flavours. Because there will be others as well like you who loves it as well. I am sure there are people who do that and there are other people who stick to one or a few flavours of ice cream. XD

Eniitan : I'll go ahead and explain the reasoning behind why my favorite ice cream is cookies 'n' cream.

Its really very simple. You make vanilla ice cream and mix it in with a few Oreos. At least that's what I'll do if I don't already have cookies 'n' cream ice cream. I remember when I was in 7th grade, my science teacher actually taught us how to make cookies 'n' cream ice cream from scratch. We each had a little Ziploc bag, we put the ingredients inside it, and we shook it to mix it all together in the end. It came out really good and it was really fun to make, of course!

Its simply the best flavor of ice cream out there!

MattyIce : Thank you for taking the time to explain this. And its great you also tried making it yourself in a way. It sounded that you really had loads of fun doing. Making oreos ice cream which is cookies and cream is fun since I mostly make it for my family and all.

And then they would ask for more when it gets finished. XD

Eniitan : Yup! Love my mint chocolate chip. I forgot about cookies and cream though, and that's really good. No, it's as good mint chocolate chip is, but it's still delicious. I had a dog who has black and white, and we actually gave him just a little bit one time to see if he liked it, which, of course, he did. How could he not?

But you don't like strawberry!? That's the best part of the Neopolitan, especially when they've got the frozen, chopped up strawberries in there! It's just so, so good.

And if we're including soft serve, I love twists. The chocolate and vanilla combination, coupled with how easy it is to eat, is just absolutely stunning. And it gets even better once mixed in with chocolate dip and stuff. Then you get to the cone and all that, and it's just heavenly.

Titan127 : Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...yes I don't like strawberry ice cream because it makes me to vomit. I'm only limited to some types that's why. Its ok if you forgot about cookies and cream some people tend to forget one or the other so its understandable.  and the combination for vanilla ice cream and chocolate is the best! I used to have that every time and I loved it! Ooh... mixed with chocolate dip and stuff? That sounds pretty good! XD

Eniitan : So we can agree on that flavor, at least. xD Strawberry does have a very strong taste, so I guess I understand. (Strawberry protein shakes are waaaay stronger though, it's disgusting). The Dairy Queen near me though, (I don't know if they have those outside of America, it's an ice cream place. xD), well, their mixer wasn't working, and I got pretty mad about it. I mean, it's Dairy Queen, and they can't even make twists? That's ridiculous! And it wasn't working for about three months. I haven't gone their since, because if it took them that long, then I don't think they'll have it now.

Also chocolate chip cookie dough is really good. I keep on remembering more of these flavors. xD There's so many, too, we've even got a flavor for superkid! Don't know if it's just an ice cream thing or if that's an actual fictional character, but still.

Titan127 : Sorry you had to go through such experience to do with the dairy queen and flavour for superkid? That's rather unusual and odd... sorry I've never heard of that type before. Anyways yeah chocolate chip cookie dough is another one I love. After I have done making the chocolate cake I'll be making the ice cream and I really can't wait to have it!

Eniitan : Ooh! You're making a chocolate cake? Now I'm jealous. I love cake. It was no fun. Luckily, at the time, we had a local establishment known as Shorty's whose small size was about as large as Dairy Queen's, well, large! But then, because they were local and I live in a pretty small town, they actually went out of business. Someone else bought the place, and they're selling ice cream, but I'm too afraid to try it because I'm afraid I'll be disappointed.

As for Superkid, I've never actually tried it myself, but it's kind of rainbow-looking, mostly blue though, I think. 

Eniitan : Basically it's an ice cream that that has chocolate pieces in it shaped like the tracks a moose makes on the ground.

Titan127 : Yes indeed. I am making 2 graduation cakes for this Saturday. One for my sister and the other for my cousin. And with that I am making 2 ice creams. The one I mention before oreos which is cookies and cream. While the other is cookie dough. My sister personally requested for me to make ice cream. Since she will be bringing a lot of her friends from university with her. So I need to make sure the batches are big enough since they will fly and before you know it finished! That's how I was inspired to make this thread in a way. So to see what other peoples favourite ice cream is. I always like to learn more new stuff and things about peoples likes and dislikes if I can. Can you explain a bit more about shorty's please? Are they another like ice cream store or something? Since you mentioned a bit about Dairy Queen and all.

Oh, the superkid must be like a rainbow type of ice cream then? @.@

Shorty's was a local diner kind of place. You could order food for take out, sit in and eat, or just stop in for some ice cream, which, to be honest, was what pretty much everyone did, lol. They did have pretty good food there though, especially for such a small place, but I find that small, local restaurants often have to have higher quality foods to compete with the bigger, more popular and much more financially stable chain restaurants. It was a nice little place, white building, gravel driveway, and fairly close to a larger city so that it could get business from there, but far enough away that it still had that country air to it. It was one of the two local restaurants in my area, I think, the other one being a trucker stop, and I was really sad to see it go.

It's been purchased by someone now though, and they're calling the "River's Bend." I'm happy they're opened back up, and I'm optimistic that their ice cream will be just as high quality as before, but I'm also a little bit worried that I'll be disappointed in that regard. That's why I haven't shown up there yet. Dx

Titan127 : Oh....thanks for taking the time to explain. Because I wasn't sure what you meant by that. Oh were they best known for their ice cream? Looks like that they were and made loads of money from it. I can agree small local restaurant's have better quality food. You would want to enjoy the food and not find that it tastes horrible. That's the worst thing that can happen and if it does that customer would not be very very happy at all. Are they now closed or something? It sounds that way by the way you are explaining.....oh so they closed down and someone else brought it? I hope the quality of that new ice cream shop stays the same, as it was when you used to go to Shorty's. Its fine to feel a little worried I mean anything can happen. But you will have to go in one day, and try when you do. Let me know how your experience went. So that I would know.

Vanelan : Lol. Very different to the other peoples ones. But that is good. I personally wouldn't really try that one because it would make me to vomit sadly. I am opened to trying out new things but there will be ones I have to really steer clear from. Because that would be a no go area for me. The last thing I want is to vomit, and then end up in the hospital for god knows how long. @.@

And nope I'm not hungry. This thread is actually inspired from me making 2 homemade ice creams. Cookies n cream and cookie dough for my sister and cousin graduation this Saturday.

I love Mint Chip. Vanilla is always classic. Also enjoy Orange Sherbet. Have you ever tried Blue Bubblegum? It's amazing!
