Welcome to vizzed! Some people I know, including friends of mine, want to go into the U.S. Navy after they finish high school. I'm also wondering about what kind of mission work that you're doing. A week ago I returned from a mission trip that was in my city but it was still pretty amazing and left an impact on me.

my wife and i did most of are work in Sorsogon Phillipines. we started 2 churches and trained the people on how to run and upkeep the churches. we had a bible school that was mostly at night but a couple of early morning class to fit peoples schedule. we started ran and now turned over(to the churches) a food program. plus we still do, what i call a hand up, program. to help the kids get need clothing and school supplies. we have truned over most of the work to those we train in the churches in the San Lorenzo and Sea Breeze barangay. the man we trained a left as the pastor for those churches are Mike Ara and he has a few people to help him.

lionsrain : Wow you have accomplished a lot, that's amazing work that you and your wife have been doing! Helping kids in need is really important and it's something I'd like to do someday even if I don't get to do it much.

On my mission trip, me and many other teens and adults did yardwork, demolition, and other projects to improve the condition of the church we were staying at each night. We also painted some walls there. We mowed lawns and did a lot of heavy lifting, especially when we were carrying beds to different rooms at Cherry Street Missions. Even though it was a lot of tiring work, we didn't complain at all and we had a great time!
