Have any of you heard of the gamer PalmDesert? I only heard of him as of a few days ago because of a pretty intense feat that he recently pulled off on Steam. He became the first user to ever reach a 1000 Steam level and now sits at level 1,094! His level went up by a massive 50 levels just in the past 2 or 3 days. Heck I can’t even go up one level in a week if I tried and I have nowhere near the 5,000+ games that he has played and I will most likely never amass the 11,000 total hours of play time that he has. He seriously has a set schedule that has him gaming for 35 hours a week all at night, that’s a full time job. What do you think of his feat? Does he have no life? How close do you think you can ever get to him?

I'm not going to lie, that is pretty impressive. You also have to wonder how much time on top of this they have been spent gaming off of Steam as well. At 35 hours a week, it would take about 314 weeks to hit 11,000, totaling just over 6 years of playing at that pace. Either they are as dedicated as they come, or they have found some truly wonderful games to preoccupy their time XD

As for having no life, that just depends on the schedule. For an insomniac, it's (I don't want to say "easy" here lol) something that can be accomplished because of the increased waking hours of the day. And I'll never catch up to them, at least not on Steam. Though I would like to think I have at least 7500+ hours gaming or more compiling everything I've ever played in my life

That is a lot of levels :O. People like that probably either have a ton of time on their hands, or have no life :v.

What wonders me is how much money was spent to get to level 1000. From what I know, most of the leveling you can do is by having a lot of games or getting a lot of badges, both of which usually cost money.

Oh dang it....thats a very high power lv right there. I mean this guy could be living on steam. More like steam is his life and he started from whenever to reach that. Because doing something like that...can take years...I really admire this person for going that far to get to lv 1000. Sadly I don't know much about this person. Because I don't know much about the big people who are on steam. '-'

Must not get a lot of sleep though because he probably goes to bed every day between 2 and 4 AM.
