I double click and they come up but when I go to edit it won't change

Okay so I've been using the VisualBoyAdvance emulator to try and play some games but no matter what I do I can't seem to change any of the controls.

I've already tried using Firefox (I regularly use Chrome) and downloading all the previous versions of the emulator but it still won't change.

I don't want to use the Mednafen emulator because there's no speed button.

Please help?
