A passed on artist, but famous nonetheless, Tupac Shakur's birthday is today (June 16).

He was a great artist -  nay... a great
person - and did not deserve an early death. But there must have been a good reason for the Celestial Being to have taken him. Whatever the reason, let us honor the great Tupac Shakur on his wondrous day!

Sorry for being late. I would have liked to meet him personally, but he died before my birth. The same can be said about Carl Sagan (I was too young to know him well). Let's remember Tupac through his music. Same with Notorious B.I.G. Thanks for telling me.

Tupac was the man. He is by far my favorite Rapper, and I wish I would've replied to this thread a little sooner (probably got side tracked with something when it was posted). He was someone who inspired greatness in the people around him and in those who looked up to him. Some of the messages he tried to spread would greatly benefit the world if only more people took them to heart. He was truly an amazing man who deserves our respect. I would've loved the chance to meet him, and he would have been my first pick if I could choose any one who ever lived to spend a day with.

And there's also his music, which was as great as the man himself. Everything that can be said about him can be said for his music as well. It just has a way of touching your heart, no matter what the message he was trying to get across. Not long before he died, Tupac even told some of the producers he was working with he had to get as much music on tape as quickly as possible, because he knew he wasn't long for this world. He told them don't worry about making sure every detail was perfect, and to just let him record as many different songs as he could as quickly as he could. It's amazing that when working at that pace, so much of his music still sounds as perfect as it does. He was a musical genius, and could've brought so much more into the world if not for the tragic circumstances that ended his life so young.

RIP Tupac Shakur. You will be missed, and your legacy will never be forgotten.
