Things change. That much is true. Every day, people grow older, new lessons are learned, our perspectives adapt slightly based on our personal experiences, and something new might end up being discovered. As humans, we learn to adapt to our environments, and evolve our viewpoints and goals to benefit our lives. More skeptical people might believe some things never change. That is somewhat debatable. We can change ourselves slightly in many different ways, perhaps we don't just immediately notice it.
  
If there was one thing about yourself that you can change, what would it possibly be? Can you change many things about yourself, or nothing at all? Thanks for reading.

My anger problems. They are annoying as i-do-not-know-what.

I would say most definitely. Now, the core of who you are does not change. Your genes, ect. But the way your mind handles information most certainly can and will.

As you go through life, you may find that certain methods of interaction are dangerous or less effective, therefore you may change them. Kindof like how I had to learn entirely new methods just to get along with people at work. (Or really make them think I was cool with them- when I was no.)

I used to be shy, very polite (still am polite- mostly) and not very tough.

Now, I could care less what jerks think of me and stand my ground pretty well on things. I still have honor and will speak with people in a respectable manner during controversy, but I won't just be silent the whole time, or only defend my beliefs emotionally.

The more humans grow and change the more they stay the same. All that happens is inefficiencies in the personalty are removed so that the core shines brighter. Different aspects of their personality find the appropriate places to express themselves. And methods of expression become more efficient. You should think of it as something like. . . . shinning a rock into a more smooth defined shape. It looks different, feels different and shines a lot better, but what was at it's center has been revealed and it still the same stone. It's just better than it initially was in every way.

That's how I would think about it.

Of course you can make adjustments and change aspects about yourself if you're diligent and you really want to change. I've seen people lose weight, gain weight, change their outlook, change their perspective, and do things to make their lives different.

Anyone who thinks Life is just whatever they're stuck in and they don't have any control or they're doomed or fated to live life a certain way.... they're wrong. It's not how that goes. I'm a fan of fatalism but I believe people can feel power by deciding to make positive changes and acting on those desires.

If you don't like something, make a change. Change small things every so often and better your situation. That's the point of life. Take control.

When I was growing up, I was the most quiet person on the planet. My shyness was on a level that nobody else was on. I'm not sure why I was but whenever I met someone new, they would always say something like "You don't talk much do you?" That made me so mad. If there was one thing I could change about myself, it would be that part of my childhood.

But ever since I've been married ( just over 5 years now ), obviously a LOT has changed about me. I won't go into everything that has changed but the most important thing is that I'm no longer "in my shell." My wife has helped me come out of my "shell" and I'm very blessed and grateful that she has come into my life.

Change is all about choice, in my opinion. Things change everyday and if you don't choose to adapt to your environment, you may not be able to live your life to the fullest. That's what its all about, isn't it? Your dreams are not going to come to you. All you can do is dream those dreams. You're the one that has to go out and get them. And if that means you'd have to change, I say so be it.

You can defiently change a lot of things about yourself. I have changed so much between the end of high school and the start of my second college, pretty much everything about me changed, both for the better and the worse, and over the last couple of months, since about the middle of March, so many other things have been changing again, so it's very very possible.

I definitely think you can change. I know I've changed. I changed when I met my wife and married her. She made me a much more confident person than I was before I met her. I wouldn't call myself outgoing or an extrovert but I'm a more secure person now.

If there was one thing I could change about myself it might be my anger. I'm quite often a really patient person but once I'm mad it is really hard for me to not be mad at or about something. I do wish I could have more control over that than I do now.

Of course you can. It may be very hard but it IS possible. I used to think that government was here to help us; I now see that is it the source of most (if not all) problems. It took a long journey of mostly self-education through readings of classical books and also a look at the world around us (especially since the popping of the housing bubble) to realize it.

But if you are talking about changing character, that might be too difficult to be changed on your own. I know I have anger issues, but it seems to be rooted deeply - almost as if it were coming without thinking. I think only psychology can help.

Well I can change some things about myself and how I grow into it. But the one thing I refuse to change is how I am a tomboy. I've been like that for years ever since I was young. I too after my brother with games and stuff. And if you can believe it I wear some of his clothes as well. I still wear girl clothes. Such things as pjs he gives to me. I wear his shirts the smart ones. And then wear an waist coat with it and do the type of fashion I would wear. And this is me. I have my mum nagging me to be this person I don't want to be. And if you see me I still dress up nice anyway. I just don't want to dress up as my mum does because we are two completely different people and she needs to remember that. I'm not going to change and wear something I am not happy with. I am my own person so I love my style of clothing I wear.

Of course you can totally change. You can even change without trying to, like happened to me and my posting activity.

I still consider there are some things one cannot change. After all, each individual must be unique at something. I've changed some things after I started to make friends, but I still stay loyal to many things they don't agree with or would chide me for because that's who I am. 

As for what I would change about myself, the choice is clear: my short temper. I tend to be quite impatient and have fits of rage, but luckily I'm able to calm down on my own with little effort. Still, I wish I could be more patient with everything and not just seldom things.

Anyone can change if the effort is put forth. I feel like I've said this 100 times on here now, but I used to be the worst piece of garbage you could ever meet and look at me now. I used to steal, lie, use people, and a lot worse, but change was necessary for me to survive and so I made it. If people couldn't change and adapt, we would've never made it this far as a species in the first place.

Ever since my ban got lifted, I think I've changed a bit. Most of it may have been puberty, but I know part of it was just me wanting to change as a person. Anyone can do it as long as they put forth the effort.

I think I'm pretty good in terms of myself so I wouldn't change much. Though I would change the thing if I had one.

Anyone can change their ways.

They just need to want it. Then, they need to work for it. At least, normal folk. Anyone who is literally unable to change, I can understand. But if you're healthy then of course you can. But I don't think I wanna change anything about myself.

Yeah definitely, we have to, depending upon the situation, life challenges are great , to be able to cope with a lot of change is needed...
