Do you mean the Euro Cup of Football?
I will not watch it since I like more hockey, but I know when I at work it will be on one TV in the break room so will be watching then, but not on my spare time. Here in Norway football or soccer is the number one sport. So you will get a lot of it. They even put up a projector in Oslo where they show the matches and serve beer where you can watch for free I think. So in Norway its a big deal. Many at my job is going to France to watch some games live.

I'll probably watch a few of Spain's matches. I'm not very interested in it, but since I'll probably be watching them with more people, the atmosphere is worth the shot.

I won't be going, that's for sure. I'm just in the middle of finals, and there are other sports I'm more interested in than football that also take place during these days.

Here in Spain European style of football is the TRUE football football is like the most popular sport. I used to play in my school's team until I focused only in tennis. It's hard to hear of someone that hasn't played football a single time over here, boys or girls alike.

To clear up any confusion, Euro 2016 isn't a big game, it's a tournament. It's basically the European Copa America (for any of you Americans following that).

Anywho, I'll be watching on TV, but not going. I'm a huge football fan, and as someone born and currently living in England, I'm ready to see us strike out as always and lose on penalties in the quarters I can't wait to see how far we can get. With our new additions to the squad and Wilshere finally healthy, I think we can do better.

Security is going to be crazy tight with all of those terrorist threats going around, too.

Lastly, yes, I can play European style football, since I have practiced while living in both England and, a few years ago, Germany.

imamonster : Who are you rooting for? Also, how is Holland taking the fact that they didn't qualify (not banter, genuinely wondering)?

Oats : How are we taking it? Well for the casual people they don't pay as much attention to the Euros as they usually do. Although football fans (a lot of the country) are all watching it. It's the first major tournament that Holland didn't qualify for in my entire life so its a different experience.

Honestly while I was gutted at first, I later realised the devastating disappointment we would guaranteed face if we did qualify.

btw I think I'll be rooting for england because most man utd players play for england and generally I just like you guys. We're as bad, if not worse at penalties so yeah.

To answer Totts' questions, no, i'm not going because well, I can't. And yes I can play european football (its SUPER uncommon to find ANYONE in this country that has never played football), although I don't like playing it as much as I like watching it.

imamonster :

Yeah, Holland was such a strong side in the past, well, decade, really, with their golden generation of Robben, van Persie, Huntelaar, Sneijder, etc., and when I heard they didn't qualify, it didn't feel right. I remember them as a strong side, but when Robben was injured the rest of the team showed their age. I think you guys are phenomenal and will get far in the WC as long as you play those young talents coming through.

Oh, and thanks for rooting for us!

Oats : Yeah our biggest problem in qualification was how we didn't play much young talent and only played players that really were just too old. Our young talent is our biggest strength and our manager during qualification didn't realise that. Pretty much when robben got  injured we collapsed.

as for van persie and all, while I don't have the same opinion about Robin Van Persie as one of my friends (He's an arsenal fan and thinks van persie is bad) I don't think he shouldn't start in WC qualification.

Yes I will be watching Euro 2016. I'll be watching all of the games. Since my country isn't in it I am not bothered who wins it really. Right now I am watching Albania v Switzerland currently 1-0 to the Swiss. I can play the European style of football but I play as the Goalkeeper so I don't get to play outfield that often.

I just watched England vs Wales. England has a fantastic last minute goal during the extras. England defeated Wales 2-1 and advanced.
