So If you've known me for a while, I've handed out Viz for a lot of users over in the vizzed Generosity thread.  And I wanna do more or  less of the same thing.

But I figured I'd let people earn some Viz for answering questions.    So I was thinking of doing something big, and a Mario Quiz sounded about right.


So here's the rules:

1- There will be a new question every day,  so this means you got 1 day to answer the question.  
2- Every Answer is going to be encouraged. Simply put, this means you'll earn Viz if your answer incorrectly  that way your effort means something.

3- Yes you can use Google, or what website you find to reference the information.     I'm allowing this to happen because there's no way to check if someone's being truthful about looking up the answer from Google or not.

4- When answering from a Web reference, don't copy it word for word.  That's known as Plagiarism and will not be tolerated in this thread.

5-  At Random,  I'll give out enough Viz for some users to afford Console items from the Vizzed Market  So It can arrange from NES all the way to the V-machine and above.

6- Results and People who participated will get their Viz for answering the question the next following day.   This is done because I need time to review all the users who answered the question.
Obviously all of the Standard vizzed rules apply here. 


Viz Prizes:

500 for correctly Answering the question:

250 for answering incorrectly.



First Question:
During the Release of Super Mario 64,   There was supposed to be a split screen for 2 players to happen.  What caused this to change and cause Super Mario 64 to be single player?

In response to the first question, I believe it was because of the hardware limitations on the Nintendo 64 at the time

In the year that Super Mario 64 was released, Luigi was on vacation and could not be used as second player in splitscreen. Wario was also in jail, and Yoshi was stuck on top of the castle and could not get down. So, really, they couldn't have splitscreen because there weren't any characters to be the 2nd player. Right?

TheFadedWarrior : Bowser was available, though. He declined. Also, there were several Toads that could have joined. Due to their shyness, they relegated themselves to minor characters that gave out stars and hints.

Yeah it was due to A split screen being too  taxing on the N64's harddrive, So they scrapped it.



The main character that was Known to be the second player in the game was Luigi, and probably Yoshi.
Wario wasn't mentioned anywhere so they'd probably just threw him in as an extra in the DS remake.
