Hi,

Today I made a donation in order to play PSX games.  I have played a few now and I am very impressed with how well the games work.  However, it is taking 9 or 10 mins to load a game.  Doom took about 10 mins, and Hot Wheels Turbo Racing took about 12.  I just want to know if this is normal, or is there anything I can do to speed this up?  It's not a big deal, it's well worth the wait, and well worth the donation I made to play so many games for free.  Just wondering if this is normal DL time for PSX games.

It usually takes about 5+ min to DL any PSX games at the very least for me, and that's with a 50+ MB per second connection. I don't know what kind of set up you have, but that's not bad time by any means on your end. 

It is possible to speed it up with the Game Accelerator item from the shop where you get the PSX item, though that being said, it currently is not working according to it's description in the shop. I'd double check with Staff, but other than that, I don't know of any way to speed up the DL times.

That is only for the first play of the game. Once you've played it once the game is downloaded on to your machine so that it loads instantly from then on. I was worried about that myself when I first played a PSX game but my second time playing the game the game loaded right away.

geeogree : That is also great info, so thanks for that! So many games to play on PSX and good to know that once I've downloaded them they will load faster! Trying to load 'Jeopardy' atm and it's been 12 minutes, and about 60% done.  Looking forward to lots of gaming on this site! Really love it!

Maybe I should put in a little input. I have download some or most psx games. To be honest it actually depends the type of Internet you have if its slow, medium, or on the fastest thing. I see yours is at average so its not so slow. Also another thing. There are some psx games that takes longer to download while some others are as easy, because they don't have much MB. And usually those ones downloads really fast like less than 5mins. But as I said before it depends the speed of your Internet. For some others who are low on speed it will take time to download for them. I hope this helps in a way.

Absolutely it helps. I noticed that when I restart my modem it seems to help. A couple games actually did in fact  download in under six minutes.  And as Geeogree said, I went back and loaded a couple of other games for a second time and it was much much faster! Thanks to everyone for all their input I appreciate it!
