I don't know if people are going to read this, but regardless this is my opinion on Payback 2016. As much as I want Aj Styles to win tomorrow night, I don't see it happening.... but what if he does win the championship? For me, that  tells me something.... It tells me that WWE does want to bring changes, it tells me that WWE want's to push the other talent (you know the ones that people actually want to see) and not give us the same old sh$t , and who better to give it to a well rounded wrestler like AJ styles. Sure he hasn't been there that long in the WWE, but let's remember the guy's a veteran in wrestling, won championships  including the IWGP championship..... Man if you want to compare Roman and AJ styles accomplishments at this point.... Roman can't even hold AJ's jockstrap!

   I have nothing against Roman, if you like the guy that's cool I don't care, but the reality is that he has no charisma what so ever, the guy is boring. When he cut's promos I feel like I'm watching Tyler Hansbrough reading "Chicken Little". It's gone to a point now that WWE has to edit the crowd because a lot of people are booing him out the arena. We're not that dumb, quit insulting our intelligence we can tell when the crowd get's edited. He is simply NOT the guy. We know Senile Vince McMahon is too stubborn by not giving the people what they want, but if he continues on with the same old sh%t, the ratings are going to continue to drop. Just look at the ratings it's at a 2.20 now! The numbers don't lie, some thing's gotta change and if there is a new Era in the WWE on the rise supposly, than they better do something different and letting AJ win is something different. It gives hope that they want to push the talent that people want to see, bring back better story lines the edginess, let the wrestler's do there thing.There's plenty of talent in that roster, but they'll not using them at there full potential. 

 So this Sunday, at Payback. Aj Styles or Bust. I have some hope but...... man I don't know.

I feel the same way you do about this. I really want AJ to win but Reigns is the prototype WWE champ and I just don't see that changing any time soon. It doesn't seem to matter how over AJ is compared to how marginal Reigns is with the crowd WWE will continue to push Reigns as long as Vince is in charge.

I think there has been a shift in WWE lately though (like last month since Wrestlemania) where we've seen a lot of new talent taking up time on Raw and Smackdown rather than the same old tired talent. And it's nothing against those guys but seeing Randy Orton fight Sheamus for the 20th time is BORING. I don't mind seeing those guys fight but I want to see them fight someone new.

That's part of what I LOVED about John Cena's US open challenge. He had a new opponent basically every week and it didn't get stale. Even when he worked Kevin Owens for a while it was good because Owens was new and needed the push that Cena could give him. That was smart stuff. I really hope they can get more consistent interesting stuff going again. Hopefully the injury bug will not be as bad this year with more talent on the main rosters taking up time.

We'll see though. I think this championship match will set the tone for months and possibly years to come.

Well, knowing WWE. No it won't happen, vince keeps shoving roman reigns down our throats, which has kinda turned me off from WWE, and I don't watch it as much as I used to anymore because of it. If aj styles actually wins, I'll probably watch again.

I'm sorry, but AJ Styles won't win tonight. I want him to so much, but I know Vince and the creative team wants to shove Reigns into every viewer's throat, and want us to like him. I can't see them trying to do this for longer than another year or 2, and if they do, WWE will probably go out of business if Vince doesn't die fast enough. I doubt he will be dead within the next 5-10 years, but if WWE can't handle itself for that long, it will go underwater. AJ Styles has had some great matches, especially the match he had at Wrestle Kingdom X against Shinsuke Nakamura for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship, and is the last push he and Nakamura needed for the WWE to sign them both. I just can't wait until some more of the Bullet Club gets signed, especially The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega, and the rest I could care less about.

  Thank you Vince McMahon and your talented creative team, for sticking the knife even DEEPER. Oh man, even with the outside interference Roman still kicked out and won.  I told myself days before tonight's event to not get angry. But I can't help it, I'm getting very annoyed and angry about this..... Its the same annoyance I got when Cena (aka F#%kBoy Bucket head) went over Bray Wyatt on Payback 2014, Its the same feeling when Triple Ego beat Sting,It's the same feeling when Vince McMahon won the ECW belt and turned it into a joke,  it's the same feeling when the Rock lost to Cena or when Jericho beat AJ on Wrestlemania 32..... I mean HOLY CRAP, why do I even bother of tuning in thinking that this company will someday change? After all this time I feel like an idiot  hoping that something good will happen. This company is so out of touch, and I truly believe he really meant it when he said he listens to no one. I'm done for tonight sigh,  I'm out
 
 

pebric : I honestly hope that bringing Shane back is a precursor to Vince retiring. I feel like with the way HHH has handled NXT that the future can be bright once Vince is gone.

Still, I was not surprised when AJ didn't win the title. I was pissed at first when I thought it was going to be a count out win. Then the DQ win. After both of those I knew he was going to not win the belt. They were going to come up with multiple ways for him to not win the belt.

tyranit : I'm not sure why they don't see the similarities to what the Rock did. When the Rock was new people hated him. Let him turn heel for a while (especially against AJ Styles would be EASY) and maybe people will like him more. And if not then maybe he's just not the guy Vince thinks he is. I don't mind Reigns but I hate that they've been trying to force him into the top spot for the last year and a half.
