I wish this was a poll because i want to see how much Mortal Kombat wins by...

but I have to go with Street Fighter.

Gameplay was always smoother for me and I could easily learn everyones style and moves. I can actually beat SF2 for SNES on the hardest level (with some hard work and continues used) while i must admit I completely suck at Mortal Kombat. On MK everything has always just seemed soooo glitchy to me...

I do have this to say about MK though. Not too many years ago, a guy left his X-Box 1 MK game at my friends and never came back for it. When i would hang out there I would play it at night after everyone went to sleep. I went through the training and got at least average skills and it had a ton of unlockable things which gave me a reason to put some long hours into it.

Still... Street Fighter is my choice.

If we're talking about the classic games, then Mortal Kombat is my choice. I would be afraid to figure out how long I've played Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, whether it be on emulators, on Playstation 2 (Mortal Kombat Armageddon Special Edition), in the arcade, Nintendo DS, wherever. Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 is the king of all arcade fighter games in my opinion.

If we are talking about the newer games, there's no way that Mortal Kombat could beat the Street Fighter games (not including the fact that there are no Mortal Kombat games on the current gen systems). While Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, Deception, and Armageddon were fun, Street Fighter IV still is a much better and more polished game.
