If you're big on RPGs, you could try out the Phantasy Star series. Just make sure you're really big on RPGs before you play them, because they're slightly less friendly to casual players than most RPGs.

NotEvenOnceM8 :   I have to agree with a few of the posts about not knowing what kind of games you like to play.  If you want faster to beat games that are somewhat easy to play and beat, the donkey kong games or the sonic games or the Mario/super Mario games would be a good start.  I love square and their rpg genre, but you are looking at 50-80 hours plus in beating them with just the basic game run.  If you like the hack-n-slash, PlayStation has diablo, super nintendo has knights of the round, Sega has the battle axe series ( 3 being my favorite )...can't forget super smash tv for the super nintendo is epic but pretty hard without a second player and controller.  If you are into the Pokémon stuff, good luck, cause I know nothing about that

As for games to suggest, I would say mischief makers for the n64, summon night : sword craft story for the gba, or Bomberman tournament for the gba are some lesser known games that I enjoyed. I also liked castlevania: aria of sorrow and final fantasy tactics advanced for the gba.
