It started when I watched the show with my cousins and they gave me some of their extra cards... pretty soon I was enjoying the games as well (I gave up on the show after Johto, and pretty much gave up on the cards as well.)

When I lived in Canada (from ages 0-3) I had a lot of cousins, and when I left to live in the U.S., My cousin Thanassee (I think it's Portuguese for Thomas) gave me a bunch of GB/GBC/GBA games when I left as a parting gift when I left for America, but he also gave me a BIG book filled with Pokemon cards, and that inspired me to collect more and get more games, so my cousins did.

Oh, and he has graduated already. from High School or College, Idk.

well lets see, when i was a kid and pokemon came out, it was HUGE. it made the news several times and kids at school couldnt stop talking about it. i used to watch it all the time and i loved it. the cards were pretty popular too so yea i was real big pokemon fan. back then though pokemon was more of a trend to me and it wasnt until i owned my very first pokemon game that i REALLY got into it and still play to this day xd. so yea i was into pokemon when it was a trend but the games are what REALLY got me into it

the show got me into pokemon the first time i saw it as a kid i was like woah this show is awesome!lol i watched it everyday i even recorded it so i can watch it all the time lol and then i got my first game pokemon blue i played that all the time i would stay up all night playing it that might not be good for a 10-11 yr old but i didnt car lol i was having to much fun to go to bed lmao then finally i got some cards and collected them for a couple yrs then i gave all 300 and something to my lil bro
