I'm sorry Nintendo kicked you in the butt there Davideo They've been cracking down on a TON of sites for even *suggesting* their equipment (old and new) and their "income" being effectively "diverted" by such change in equipment usage no matter how old the equipment is (or if they even possess the production means to continue selling said products legitimately)... It makes me sick seeing they're hitting a site like this for using games from so long ago that in all senses of the matter, have been 'flogged to death' by Nintendo in its greed.


I truly hope things get better for you and your website/rights; And Nintendo gets their karma back 10 fold in the future for the headache they've caused you. Because they've also been flagging/filing lawsuits against people who even speak about Mario or chant the intro of the songs via youtube videos. It's appalling how far greed will take a company to destroy its own ability to be spread to a generation of people who would never know the origins of those characters without the promise of getting a quick buck from the internet, let alone media coverage of them in such a manner. And in turn their income for new games would be crippled in the process due to this desire for money from an already drained supply of games...

I, and my father who grew up on these games as a child, appreciate you looking out for the community in such a way and the classic games and the generations that have been raised with them. And i personally want to thank you for helping get my father to have a walk through memory lane with all of these consoles we still have but no longer can use due to water damage/age.

I wish you the best Davideo, and I'm sure this site will last many years to come under your watchful eyes and engaging/creative style of speaking/playing with the community.

Davideo7 : Nintendo seems to be going full force when it comes to protecting their intellectual property. I'm thinking they're going to try to remove emulators as well. It was fun playing Nintendo games while it lasted. Well at least we have other systems like Sega and such. I had found this site after I had the laptop for about two years. It was also before I had a phone. I loved being able to play Nintendo games without having to worry about sound and viruses for downloading roms to play.  This site was dealt a blow but will live on and has been a great place to talk to people about their fave games. Viva la Vizzed.   Oh and I guess can I please have Machines of War 3?

thesurviver : They've been going crazy all over the internet and targeting people left and right. I was completely fine with their request to remove games in the RGR that they still profit off of on the Virtual Console but to have me remove games that they literally aren't profiting off of anymore and having me remove rom hacks that others made is overboard. Digital preservation of old retro games is incredibly important and I'm glad see that too. It's always great to hear stories of people reliving their childhood memories because that's also one of my favorite things to do in the RGR, go through the list of games that I either played as a child or wanted to play as a child due to seeing it at Funcoland but not having the money at the time to buy it. Your post definitely made my day.
