In terms of games for Mario, which is your favorite console to play?

I'm a bit torn. I really love Super Mario Bros for Wii, but I LOVE Paper Mario for GameCube.

I would say the 3DS since it's the only Nintendo console besides the GBA and DS I played Mario and they are good Mario games at that.

18mlivingston : After joining vizzed, is when I realized how big of a following the GB systems really have. I never got into the idea because I found the screen to be too small, but now I've noticed the last 2 Paper Mario games were released for GB - I think the 3DS specifically. So I've been giving it some consideration lol.

Favorite Mario was super Mario on the super Nintendo . Because I played it a bunch as a kid and my sister showed me how to beat it when I was young, and I never thought I would ever be able to beat it. Then I finally beat it at a young age and my young heart was happy.

Super Mario World For the SNES and GBA are the ultimate lords of Mario!

When i was younger and my Television worked i used to play this game to death!

And my worst levels are Wendy's Castle, Valley Fortress And the worst of all! (Tubular)

My Favorite Levels are Cheese Bridge Area, Chocolate Fortress and Of Course! The Top Secret Area.

gcvashgun : Cute story. It reminds me of when I played the old SNES at my cousin's house as a kid. The classic systems will always hold a special spot.

I don't know how you pick anything but the SNES for this question unless you missed playing the Mario games for that console.

Honestly, when you have Super Mario World, Super Mario World 2, Legend of the Seven Stars, Super Mario All-Stars (which gives you the NES versions of the Mario games).... I don't see how you top that. It's a pretty awesome array of games (and I know I didn't get them all).

geeogree : haha I grew up with the N64 (which for some reason completely slipped my mind when I made this thread, and now I'm more confused). I played the SNES once or twice as a kid at my cousin's house, but I never was lucky enough to have one as a kid. 

Super mario bros for the nintendo wii. Me and my sister love playing it all the time.

Hmm, that's a very good question, since I assume you mean which console I like the most with the best mario games on them.

It would either be the GBA , the wii u, or the Gamecube, while I wasn't a massive fan of super mario sunshine (Which I want to play again sometime) it had incredible spin-off games like mario super smash football, mario kart double dash, the paper mario game, and if you count the  smash games as mario games than melee too.

The GBA had remakes of 2 of the NES games, and 2 of the SNES games, plus it had mario kart super circuit which I absolutely adore.

The wii u has mario kart 8, and mario maker 2 games that I really love as well(Have yet to try smash 4 or super mario 3d world (btw I like how nintendo has a handheld game called super mario 3d land and a console game called mario 3d world, nice throwback to the gb and SNES)

In the end though I'll go with the gamecube i'm pretty sure, since the only reason the gamecube did moderately ok was because of the mario titles.

Please...this is absolutely NO contest. There is only ONE console to play the very best Mario games on. And that console is...

The NES! There is no better console to play these games on other than where it all began. Super Mario Bros 1, 2 and of course Super Mario Bros 3, which is personally my favorite ( and a lot of other people for that matter lol ). If you haven't played any of these games yet, you absolutely must.

Final Weapon : My friends and I played that one quite often, and I've been meaning to get us to play it again. I always laughed, because my friend who would usually be Player One, always seemed to randomly bubble (and I'd decide "I got this!"....."nevermind,I died" lol).

imamonster : Good choices. I never got into the GBA, but I've heard it's great. It also seems to have quite the following on vizzed, lol.

MattyIce : LOL I have to agree, but I never had the chance of owning the NES/SNES. However, luckily (before they were taken down) I had the chance of saving one of the Mario games for SNES on my laptop. Not the NES, but close to it.... sorta.

Have to say the first Nintendo. The controller was simple and the games for it was lot of fun. Also Super Nintendo is the good 2nd.

Cactuar : good answer. Gotta hand it to the first system - in my opinion, it really paved the way for video gaming in general.

plasticinsanity : then you've missed some of the best Mario games out there. Go back and play the original NES ones as well as some of the SNES titles. Totally worth your time. The original game is a lot harder than most people remember.

geeogree : I have one of the mario games for SNES saved on my laptop, but I really have been meaning to go back and play the oldschool mario games for the NES. It makes me sad that I never had the chance to grow up with it lol 

My favorite console for Mario would have to be the Nintendo 64 because it introduced Mario in a 3D platformer which was called Super Mario 64. Super Mario 64 is my favorite Mario game of all time therefore the Nintendo 64 is my favorite console for Mario.

My favorite console to play Mario games on was the regular DS, I say that was the console that I played them the most on, and I really liked the games as well.

The SNES, it's so simple, Mario All-Stars, Mario World, Mario World 2, and Super Mario RPG, the best of jumpy goodness on one single platform, and you can buy it now for just one easy payment of... However much it is on Amazon!
