I'm doing some restructuring of the various Vizzed file servers. Basically I'm moving the PlayStation games from 1 server to another which means that PlayStation games T - Z will be down until I'm done.

tRIUNE : Letting you know of this. Once this transfer is finished, then you'll be able to upload PlayStation games again. They'll be on the GYR server. Hold off on uploading Dreamcast games for the time being though since I'm transferring those to the server that the PS1 games were previously on.

EDIT: PlayStation games should be back to normal.

Are you transferring the Dreamcast games as well, or is that going to happen after you're done with the PSX games?

I was hoping to record a bit of gameplay of a Dreamcast game tomorrow, if they're down I can safely postpone that plan into the next month. Just wanting to make sure and not to report any supposed error I could encounter.

Davideo7 : Glad to hear that the PS1 stuff is getting fixed so tRIUNE can go back to adding games, or re-uploading ones that need to be fixed. I know he's got quite the backlog of requests/reports.

Will this increase the speed of downloads for those games at all? Or is the experience going to be pretty much the same it was before?

EX Palen : The Dreamcast games were being transferred while still being available on their previous server. There was enough room on both servers to keep those files on both servers until the Dreamcast games were finished transferring which meant there would be no down time for DC games (but PS1 games take up more than twice as much space as the DC games so the transfer for them was different). The DC games actually just finished transferring and are now being loaded on a different server.

Jordanv78 : If anything it may potentially slow down the download speed of PlayStation games but we'll see. The transfer does allow for more PlayStation games to be added though since the server they were previously on was getting pretty close to maxing out (and actually did once over the past month which is why the Minecraft server went down since they used the same server). If the PlayStation download speeds take a huge hit (and be sure to give me feedback on this) then what I could do is maybe place the top 100 most popular PlayStation games on the server they were previously on so that those download at top speeds.

Davideo7 : Cool, thanks for letting me know. I'll certainly let you know if there if there is a severe drop off in Download speeds, but it sounds like a great compromise if there is a noticeable difference.
