Just curious. I taught myself HTML specifically to make my own layouts on this site, and JigSaw taught me a bit of CSS which I took upon myself to expand on to learn even more. Along with asking people for layouts just to study the code and began improving upon it. But that's only the basics. I also don't remember how I got my minipic. Maybe I found it, maybe I got it from someone else. But most of what I have layout-wise (even though currently I'm using a layout by Annette, because I'm currently dipping back into HTML to make my own layouts again. I have 6 or 7 unique layouts saved on my computer in code form, I promise) was made by me, minus the 2 or 3 that I bought or asked from others so I could learn the code. At the end of the day, this only taught me that a lot of people use crap code, or useless s, or extra codes that aren't necessary, etc.

I also had to ask David to wipe my Vizzed profile because the CSS clashed with an update or something, so I had to drop it back down to just text. I forget the code I had in it though, gotta go through and learn that again.

But what kinda code, colors, and pictures have you used to improve the Wow! factor of your Vizzed account? Or any others (like... gulp... MySpace)?

Zeldisaster : When editing the tables, if you add the slightest bit of transparency and add an image of a color (such as Black) you can achieve different colored tables and it's the easiest way to do it imo

Also, usually I go for something generic such as searching "Kingdom Hearts Desktop Background" and then using one of those as a background for really high quality stuff.

Adding music can be nice, but it ruins everything if it autoplays or gets in the way.

Another way to spice it up would be to adjust the colors of hyperlinks on scrollover, click, or visited.

ALSO ONE TIME I TRIED TO MANIPULATE IFRAMES TO PUT PONG IN MY LAYOUT BUT LOLNO THAT DIDN'T WORK BECAUSE THEY DONT ALLOW IFRAMES

Also consider using CSS3 transformations to make animated effects on any element of your profile, such as text or tables. But I don't remember how to do that.

Anyways thats what I did, at least. But I mean it's kinda boring right now because my profile is literally just corn with me talking about corn

I made my vizzed account more interesting by asking other people for layouts constantly at first. My profile layout wasn't made by me and I still haven't bothered trying to learn how to make a profile layout yet, due to lack of interest.

However, once I became a trusted member I used the layout guide to start making my own layouts, and I've made a ton of them, such as the one I'm using for this post. I make basic and advanced layouts, for myself to use and for others to buy in the layout shop

Also, I try to make my layouts somewhat unique and pretty original so that people are impressed with my layouts. I don't want my layouts to just be average so I try my hardest to make them funny or neat!

I think I may have cheated, I just copied and pasted the stylesheet I made for my message board. =)

I'm certain my answer will get some frowns but I do absolutely nothing except contribute well-thought out, lucid, intelligent posts that support other people or provide my insight into opinions or thoughts.

The rest of it, the art, the music, the color schemes, that's all just noise people use because they aren't really adding stuff to the conversation.  Yes, of course there are some good posts by people who have really pimped-out lay outs but the real way to beef up an account is to be involved, be positive and supportive in the community, and participate in the conversations that matter.  Listen, offer ideas, and let people figure out what's going on.

Now you can get likes, you can get responses, and maybe you help someone.
