I've spent a good amount of the day creating a new feature which is called 'Game of the Week'.

Each week there will be 1 game that the RGR Staff thinks is so good that it deserves to have its own spotlight as 'Game of the Week' on the Index of the Retro Game Room.

This game will not only be thoroughly reviewed by the RGR Staff but it'll also cost 0 Viz to buy for that entire week!

You can find the Game of the Week below the vertical ad on the right of the RGR Index page. Be sure to check it out every week for a really good game worth playing. Oh, and remember, it's free!

I thought about it but I'd hate to push the ad down and not make as much off of it, the cost of server and the plugin are just getting costly that I need the extra ad money. Also the bandwidth of the server is going up incredibly fast so I definitely need the money for that as well. I'll look into another solution to making it stick out more.

Very nice I like it but it took a minute to find it. I got a small screen I think it looks great there and theres plenty of room for other things in that area if you plan on adding more stuff.

I found it in about a second . Never heard of the game... but I guess that's kind of the point right? To get some of those lesser known games some attention.

I think it's fine where it is. I don't think this needs to be plastered all over. Once people know about it there won't be any problem seeing the new ones come out.

It could possibly go above top searches on the other side, or even maybe have it automatically go into the 1st position in the list of games no matter what is searched or what category it's under (obviously with a lot of signals showing that it isn't actually what they were looking for could just say 'Game of the Week on it)

Well, I was thinking that you could make an index page for https://www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/retro/ that would display game of the week and random game of the day when people click the RGR, but this works too.
Or you could put the game of the week next to the RGR picture up the top left.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
