I've finally passed the 100,000 CP milestone which means I finally qualify for the final CP multiplier of 2. My CP would probably be way higher if every action counted toward CP but the majority of the stuff that I do doesn't award me CP so the amount of CP I do have isn't an accurate measure of how much I do on the site. It's still fun for me to earn though, even if I'm the one who made the system.

I'm only the 2nd user to ever hit this milestone; tRIUNE was the first year and did so nearly 2 years ago and is currently over 200,000 CP now.

The Contribution Point system was introduced nearly 3 years ago but actually started out as a 'Staff Point' system that was only exclusive to staff members before it became the 'Contribution Point' system 3 years ago. The Staff Point system wasn't around nearly as long as the Contribution Point system.

The system has had its flaws but I've made many adjustments to it over the past few years and it's slowly becoming more balanced. The ultimate goal is for the average 1 hour worth of work to pay out 10 CP with fun actions paying out less and boring actions paying out more.

I think the actual system reflects that well. Guides and reviews - good ones take a lot of time to build up - are worth much more than screenshots, although adding a lot at the time can amount to similar CP totals.

How would your "working" metric work, exactly?

Nice dude, that extra 25% boost will come in handy. Just imagine if you had the 2x multiplier to begin with, you would have had more than 125K CP by now, so from now on if you keep up the rate of cp you have been getting, you will shoot up towards 200K too.

I plan on reaching the 100K mark sometime this year.

100k is a lot, but saying you add so much to the site in forms of content to games, game pages, and now game music, I'm not too surprised.

But saying I only have 26k, that's a lot lol. 

Davideo7 : You said that 1 hour of work would give 10 CP. How would that be measured exactly? How can one "work" for vizzed?

janus : working an hour at an action, such as streaming or adding games. Anything that awards CP is "working" for Vizzed. 

janus : For example, if someone spent 1 hour adding screenshots to the site, they should earn about 10 CP and 10,000 Viz for that. Maybe the term "work" wasn't a good term to use.

Anyways, congrats, David. It's funny how tRIUNE has over double that, though. He's just infinitely ahead with CP, huh? I wonder if he has more than all of the elites combined, but I'm too lazy to check. Probably not, but it'd be cool to see how close.

100K CP looks absolutely insurmountable to a first-year such as myself, haha. That's definitely a lot.

SWTerra : Yeah he has over double what I have but like I said, most of the things I do on the site don't credit CP because there's no reason to have them credit CP since only I do them. Plus it just wouldn't be possible to credit CP for things like coding which consumes a good portion of the time I invest into the site.

I'm not trying to take away from tRIUNE's accomplishments at all though. He does a lot for the site and has easily invested the 2nd most into the site compared to anyone else in the history of Vizzed but I think a lot of people fail to realize just how much time I invest into the site. The average week I invest anywhere between 40-50 hours with some weeks being more and some weeks being less. I've gone through phases that have lasted months where I've invested 60-80 hours a week into the site. I easily have 20,000+ hours into this site.

Davideo7 : you should just give yourself like a million CP and call it good. You'll never lose that lead

Davideo7 : I can definitely understand that much. Just for running the site in itself, I can see how much time you put in, and that's still leaving a lot of what you do out. It's just still amazing how much tRIUNE has over everyone else, not just speaking in your case (I only compared to you because you are actually the closest to him; as you just said, you're only the second to reach this mark now). I didn't mean for that to be misinterpreted as "tRIUNE has done so much more than you," so sorry if that's how it came out.

Davideo7 : Whatever the wording you use . Adding screenshots and characters seems relatively easy to calculate the amount of "work". But what about game guides and reviews? Video uploading? Quality products takes a long time to make - I can spend over twice as much time editing a video than its actual length.

Really though, I'm in agreement that your CP contribution should be listed as the infinity symbol. You really can't put a number on what you have contributed to this site. Without you, this site wouldn't exist lol

RDay13 : I can't really think of any tips off the top of my head but I definitely recommend doing actions that you enjoy doing, that way you're motivated to keep doing it.

janus : When it comes to Reviews, I factor in the time it takes to play through the entire game and then write up the Review. With guides, I factor in the time it takes to thoroughly play through a game and do everything and then prepare and write the review (which is why you earn the most CP & Viz per a word with Guides than anything else). I have been considering increasing the payout of Videos though because I uploaded a bunch earlier in the month and I really felt like I was under paid compared to the amount of time I invested into setting up the recording, playing the game, editing the video and uploading it.

Jordanv78 : Thanks, I appreciate that Likewise, this site wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the hard working staff as well since there's no way I could ever justify investing as much time into what I do if the staff didn't free me up so much time.

I know this is really late, but I'd like to congratulate you on reaching the 100k CP milestone. I was wondering how long it would take for there to be another user in the 100k's besides tRIUNE. Now with every action you make, you'll be raking in the CP like never before!

gamerforlifeforever2 : My multiplier really didn't jump that much. It went from 1.75 to 2.

The next closest user is zanderlex who has 78,066 CP. Every Tour de Vizzed gives him a big boost so it's possible for him to get there within a year.
