Well, as I sit here it's 1 am where I live, can't sleep cause I'm sick so I'm studying Greek/Latin roots. Fun. Finals next two days. Well... anyways, for my benefit and others, what are some good study hints for preparing  for finals? Share hints here, this thread might be a little late for some, but there's always more finals!
Here's my one hint: Don't get sick, stay healthy.
I'm screwed tomorrow...
This thread is to ask for finals help and give help. Nothing else.

Mangepic : For me the best thing to do for my college finals was, if they provided a study guide, I would create a powerpoint instead of index cards- just simple white background and type the question and then on the other slide the answer, if I was studying architectural buildings, I would put a picture on one slide and then the answer on the next- so basically, I answered and typed all key points of the study guide and made it into a powerpoint which I read through four-five times a day and saved it on my phone and anytime between classes or waiting for a class to start I would read the powerpoint, anywhere I was I would study it. I used a powerpoint because for me it was easier to type than to write all that info into index cards. Also, I would lay on bed before going to sleep and read the powerpoint twice and read it again in the morning- studies show your brain remembers better when reviewing things in an organized and repetitive manner and as a pictorial rather than constant words and specially before bed and in the morning (peak times).

Just look at your everyday vocabulary to realize that Greek and Latin roots are everywhere.

Without: a/an (a caepella (singing without music), anarchy (no ruler))
With: con (concur (agree with))
Power: arkos (monarchy (one ruler), plutocracy (rule of the wealthy), democracy (rule of the people)
aqua / hydro : Water (Hydrocity and Aquatic Ruins, from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and 2)
Many: poly (polytheism (many gods))

I am sure Wikipedia and other educative websites have an exhaustive list of such words too.

Focus on studying and nothing else. Also, study a bit right before you go to sleep. I've heard it helps you remember better.

Focus on what you know will be on the test the most, because then there will be at least some parts where you can answer without thinking, then focus on areas that you might not think would be used that much so you can avoid surprises.

My biggest tip for studying would be to take short 5 minute breaks frequently while studying. Studies have shown we tend to remember the first and last things in any given lump of information, and taking a short break every 15 to 30 minutes will actually help reinforce this. If you just cram for hours on end, a lot of the information in the middle of that time period is much more likely to be forgotten.
Hope this helps someone
