Final Weapon :  I'm sure there's a lot more that's positive about yourself than you think.  As human beings, we tend to undersell our own selves the most.

Ghostbear1111, this is a LOVELY thread.  I totally adore it. We spend so much time bringing ourselves down... and I think you're right: we should spend more time lifting ourselves (and others!) up.

What do I like about myself?  Hmmmm... Indeed it is a hard question to answer.  I guess I like my passion for teaching because it helps me to work hard in a very stressful position, and to stick to my guns when I normally wouldn't. (Although admittedly, the passion also makes my life MUCH more difficult! haha!)

Hold on, let me think about this for a sec.... Okay, I got one. I like the fact that I'm very sentimental. Even though I have a sadistic sense of humor and am hardly active here. Those, however, are only used to mask how emotional and attached I can be. Like, here let me give an example. Let's say you came up to me and said something negative to my face. I'd shrug it off and say "Aye, that's just how I am. Go pray if it bothers ya." But then once you leave, I'll break down into tears and wonder why you have that kind of demeanor in the first place. I think of if you're joking or not, or if you're taking your anger out on me. It's very tiring and kind of troublesome.

I actually hate it at times. My brain's first thought is that it thinks whatever action you did was personal. And then I have to hold back any emotion surfacing, in order to remind myself that it's not personal-- I'm just overreacting. Sometimes I fail, and they just burst out because it's way too much to contain. And then the atmosphere gets really awkward 'cause all the attention's focused on a person who can't hold back their feelings.


So, even though I have a love-hate relationship with my sentimental self-- it's still my favorite thing about me. I'd rather show feeling than hardly any. Also, sorry if this took a negative turn! I can't help but see that everything has it's pros and cons.

There's several things I like about myself mostly the fact I can come up with really original or weird usernames but all of them tend to have three parts to them.

Singelli : No problem! Will do. Maybe next time I take a trip down to the Smoky Mountains in Eastern Tenn I'll swing by and pick you up. Very beautiful down there. Had a great time when I went down there 2 years ago (was my first time)

Don't have any firm plans yet this year regarding Camping, but I'm always going on hikes and whatnot every weekend if possible and I know I'll start fishing as soon as it warms up a little.

Singelli : I believe that considering how we as human being tend to act on our emotions at times. I really don't like selling myself short, to tell the truth. But I just can't seem to find anything that is genuinely positive about myself. Mostly everything I do usually ends up having the opposite effect. I realize nothing good comes out on dwelling about it. I'll have to keep trying until I'm able to find what's truly good to like about my personality.

My favorite thing I love about myself is my ability and my willingness to help anyone. Even if it's someone I have no respect for I'm willing to hold the door for them or pick up something they've dropped.
I really love helping people and that "thank you" that I get when I do helpful things makes me feel really good about myself.

I like that I'm generally in a bubbly mood. I like myself more as an optimistic person.

I like the way for some reason over the past two weeks, my personality seems to be splitting...

I love how I don't like to flatter myself even though people say I should. What I love most about myself is that I'm not arrogant and I'm a failure. What I dislike about myself is that my list for what I hate about myself is much larger than my list of what I like about myself because I should learn to love myself.

My favorite thing about myself would be the fact that I'm pretty kind to people. I'm a very nice guy, perhaps to nice for my own good but I'm nice none the less. That's pretty much the best thing about me in my opinion.

What I like most about myself is how easy going I am. I'm happy 95% of the time, and almost nothing gets under my skin. Short of someone dying, I can just shrug anything off and not be bothered by it. Life's too short to be worried or upset all the time. We could all die tomorrow, so why not enjoy every second we have here in this world
