I've listened to and read from muslims (or former muslims) who point to the sources of a lot of the beliefs that inspire groups like ISIS and they come from the Koran. Whether right or wrong it is pretty clearly shown where the source and thought process comes from and it's not from "analysts" who haven't lived the religion or been taught it for 30 years.

Again, I don't personally know enough to know if their view of things is correct. I'm simply using what they show as a basis for understanding the radical portion of the religion.
