I love Call of Duty Black Ops, it is my favorite cod, the zombies is my favorite thing in the franchise and Black ops 1 has the best multiplayer in cod. I want to get the First Strike DLC because it has my favorite zombies map that i played i lot on xbox 360 and iphone. The problem is that the DLC is $15 and i know they wont lower the price but I know I will get a lot of enjoyment out of it but paying $15 to play ONE zombies map just seems ridiculous. I'm torn because i know i could put that $15 towards another game but i can also spend $15 on DLC for this game that i love and there is a possibility that Black Ops could be backwards compatible on Xbox One and i can just download all the dlc i bought for it on 360 long ago.

To avoid further rambling i just wanna ask; Would this be a good purchase or should i reconsider and wait for another game?

I wouldn't. You'll most likely play it 4-5 times through and move on to the next thing without even second guessing it.
Zombies is too repetitive to spend $15 on only 1 map. Then again if you think it's worth it then go for it!

I bought the Dragonborn DLC for less that. It adds a new (if somewhat small) gameworld to Skyrim complete with quest lines, sub-stories, new enemies, and crypts. To pay 15$ USD for a single multiplayer map is utterly ridiculous to me, especially considering how little effort it takes to publish them for the studio. I would skip this buying this map, but it's your money man.

I wouldn't do that, 15 is not worth it for any DLC unless ot comes with a whole lot of stuff, so I suggest waiting for it to go down in price or not getting it at all.

Thank you all for the replies, I have thought long and hard about it and decided that I will just wait for the possibility of the game being backwards compatible on Xbox One and just re-download the game and all its DLC that i purchased on 360 long ago

It looks like this was answered already but if I could make a suggestion if you really want the DLC you should look into getting the Black Ops season pass if it is still available it gives you all the DLC for the game at a good price that's what I did back in the day.

unpro27 : i looked into that as well and unfortunately the only thing that bundles all the dlc is a $100 download that includes black ops.

It looks like you've made a decision, would you like us to go ahead and close up this thread?

On topic, though, I always base decisions of whether or not to buy DLC on how many hours I foresee myself playing the game in the future. As an example, I've spent quite a bit on League of Legends because I foresee myself playing it for many months to come. However, I never did spend money on Black Ops II because I didn't see myself playing it for much longer (and I haven't played it in many months). It's merely about whether or not you plan to get your money out of it.

mrfe : I feel if I got the dlc, knowing i will get enjoyment out of it, it will put a bad taste in my mouth knowing I overpaid for a couple of crappy multiplayer maps and a zombies. Going on to your question, yeah I'd say lets close the thread.
