I'm not signing up yet. I'm still thinking about it but I wanted to say that I think the "miss 2 games" thing is a bit harsh. Is there a reason why you can only miss one game without a penalty?

I've hosted this same type of tournament the last 2 years in a row and there's too many users who don't participate and it really really really ruins the fun for everyone else. I think last year there werwe a few users who went a few weeks straight without a matchup due to opponents not showing up.

We're currently at 24 users. We have a long way to go before we have as many as we did in previous years. At very least I'd like to get 32-64 users signed up.


chas2002 : It starts next week and each matchup lasts a week. Basically you and your weekly opponent try to figure out a good time when you can do your matchup that week.

Should I add you to the list?


Jordanv78 : I'll be honest, I'm kinda bummed as well but I figured doing a different system is a good way to get variety and potentially get different users involved and possibly even get a different winner (I've won it every year so far and I think it's time that someone else takes the title of Winter Netplay Champion from me lol).

Jordanv78 : I almost did the competition based on just 16-bit but due to SNES games not working for some people, I decided against it to avoid confusion.

Last year I did an 8-bit system, this year I'm doing a 16-bit system, next year I may do a 32-bit system which would be the PlayStation but we'll see. I'm sure we'll be doing an NES competition again eventually.
